Same sentiments for most uncles.
Kana hit from all directions.
Lost meaning and purpose.

Thanks for sharing.

while most of the sentiments are reflective of people my age group, I also find this a tad to depressing: 人到中年不如狗 ?! Not that bad lah…

Depend on how you see it.
So many people are relying on you.
You cannot fail or fall.
In some way, you are at their beck and call.

wah, quite a depressing thought!

maybe I’m lucky, but I think my spouse is capable of supporting the family on her own. Maybe that’s why I don’t dare run lion !

personally, I think CDC vouchers are helping to give some relief.

but I think the tariff war can get very scary for SG as a whole…

She should be the one ordering you around from time to time.
Same for your kids and your parents and your in-laws.
Not forgetting your boss.
It is the reality.

I made a job change in 47, then came back to current company when I’m 48 and have stayed ever since, although I have had a role change since back…

Actually, on the job front, it’s not applicable. Because I’m ready to retire anytime, these days I just speak my mind to the management, and it’s up to them to decide if they wanna listen.
