Weird la, never know about people bringing whole family to show flat. Must be too poor to go for vacation and hence replace with visits to showflats..

Don't believe in ghost month or holidays. Holidays sales are usually lower because there are no new launches. Holidays are in fact the best time to bring the whole family to the show flats.

Agree that gov shouldn't bail the developers. If so, it is like flipping roti prata, anyhow one.. No respect for that..

There will not be any crisis. At most, just 10 to 20% discount. No big deal. Developers make slightly less, jobs will still be around, just a smaller bonus for the year.

If the government "saves" them, they will be bolder and more daring next time. Bid $5000 psf ppr, knowing that the government will always be there for them.

Not sure anyone remembers this article. And the price purchased then at The Nassim is only an average of 2300psf (2017 time), win win situation for both developer and buyer, now prices are above 3000psf easily.

Lol. Bring whole family as in parents plus children. Exams over, PSLE over, isn’t it a better time to bring the kids along? Does not mean don’t go holiday. Overseas trip is at MAX 2-3 weeks?

Don't think cm will be reduced. Current situation is just right for government. If wanna reduce, will probably tweak those doesnt-benefit-gov cm. Like reducing ssd, increase the max loan age from 65 to 70 etc.

The name is dead giveaway isn't it? 😅

It's a cooling measure, if u over cool it it becomes frozen. The government I assure u don't want to engineer a crash.

I stand by my conviction that it will move in tandem with interest rate movements. If IR continues to stay low, then likely it will remain.

Yes, raise in interest rate may cause a reduction/removal of cm. But when gov reduce cm, they are encouraging people to take the plunge and buy with high interest rate. Will this bring about more social problems in the future?

To many of us here who like to discuss property, we probably also like to see showflats. That one is true but I know many others don't see visiting showflats as favourite pastime. So I feel what you say is true but only for small group of people.

Seems like the outer-facing units are finding it difficult to sell even at a 100/200 psf discount to lagoon-facing?

Just pass by the Showflat.

Nov > 4 units sold
1-10Dec > 0 sold

The 4 units sold had premium facing (either sea and/or lagoon). Good stuff tbh

Uncle Kwek may find it difficult to clear the remaining units with poor facing (e.g. west-facing into Kings Mansion), thereby incurring a petrifying 31.25% penalty :(

i am looking for a home in D15 so have been visiting the showflats after the **. Really like Amber Park and it seems they are moving some units again in July and August even when their prices a little high.
I have been looking at Amber Park, Nyon, Coastline residences, Amber45, Meyer Mansion. Meyer Mansion is just too expensive (average >$2500 psf) though I like the Meyer area more. For those interested in Amber Park, i found this buyer's review very good, telling you which stacks are better & suggestions to save money- amberparkreview.com

So far the new launch prices in Amber/Meyer all range between $2200-2500 psf. Wish prices will come down but looks unlikely.

Yes time flies, last year when I visited showflats in Amber area, can really catch mosquitoes. Think amber park was 30+% sold then, now about 65%, Nyon was like 10-20%, sold, now 50%… mostly bigger units left.

You keeping track of where everyone stay ah hahaha
Haha been ard for some time made some friends chat thru PM so I know, many got their choice developments so ok to share, but for those who told me to keep mum, I also respect that :)

Few here own more than one prop, the rest own at least a 2b2b in one of those better valued new launches. So much to cheer abt.
