Hi, anyone knows where are the common places where Amex Pay by QR code is accepted?

the website listed only some examples (food centres in obscure neighbourhoods). wonder if there's a more comprehensive list...

Some of the hawker centre stalls and neighbourhood coffeeshops are accepting QR code payment which includes Amex Pay. You have to look for the universal QR code display.

Alot around bukit merah estate.

From what I gathered not only need to look for the QR code display but to also look at the specific payment platforms logos on the QR code display.

yeah apparently need to specifically look for the amex logo... then they will accept QR payment. it's not 'universal'

Just look out for this SGQR display below. AmexPay is listed underneath the code.

Ya. Have to see the Amex logo in the List of participating payment apps. Generally you can find them in Hawker centre stalls.

thanks. just finding it a bit ironic that its in hawker centres and not retail stores... considering i don't think there are many who frequent hawker centres have amex cards.

Amex True Cashback Card and Amex KrisFlyer Cards are $30K entry level cards.

I'm guessing that Amex is widening the base of hawker center customers to include those that are holding Amex cards.

My guess is SGQR was the initiative by the Govt to push the cashless mode to the hawkers hence most of the different pay partners are in there. Noticed those which are not in this scheme are quite generally earlier batches and they have limited paying partners.

there was a promo of 5 x $1 off when making payment via Amex QR last month which ended yesterday.

But scanned this afternoon and got an email notification that I qualified for the offer. Used up 5x last month already. Not sure isit new promo for this month.

mine shows end date as 31/12/20

which is also why i'm scouting to find those places that accepts amex pay by QR... so far still can't see anywhere

silly to purposely travel to some place to use it just to get $1.

More and more Coffeeshop stalls have sgqr. At least in bishan area many have participated.

SG QR is almost everywhere.... but not all SG QR includes Amex. In fact, it is rather rare.

Anyone Amexpay not working too? The app keeps asking me to register my card for amexpay when it is already registered and I cannot activate the QR scanner.
