Please do not engage this company. Firstly, their contractors are hit and miss. Their carpentry sucks, their project management (if any) is absolutely lousy and when you have issues, they will usually not be resolved in a proper manner.
Long story short - Avoid.
did sign up as a member to use their platform. still beta and im not able to really do what i want. instead received a call to find out what was my minor reno after submitting my "project" in their portal.

was abit hard sell, but i still managed to end the call and did not engage them anyway. thanks for your feedback as well.

but still looking at changing 2 of my hdb toilet doors that is a little malfunction but still can "live with it" condition. will go to the 2 famous toilet doors or carousell to check them out.
at the mean time looking to repair 1 glass sliding door as well.

Those looking for good ID can DM me, so far very happy with my ID work, and he is quite steady to rectify any issue after my renovation without complaint, and the cost is also affordable as I have done my comparison across many different ID firm

In my honest 2 cents opinion
nowadays ID all cut and paste

Most of them just gather a bunch of sub cons to do the work and ask you what design you want haha

Try to find those 1 man show ID and price will be significantly cheaper cause profit all goes to them

Those bigger ones will need to up their price cause need to pay their company too

Eh, you expect one man show can do everything on his own? one person knows how to do everything?

for any one company to have all the sub cons under one company, the expenses and overheads are high. what if there is no jobs? the company would have to sustain the workers.

companies will always have to rely on sub cons. no benefits for any one main con to have all sub cons under his own company.

the benefits of having sub cons is that you have a variety of different sub cons who can match your prices, schedules, etc.

Does anyone here have any experience with the company ‘Inside lookz’ to share? I’ve come across several very good reviews for them, but a friend cautioned me, saying that it was a really terrible experience for them, thus I’m wondering if she might be the odd one out.

I notice here always mentioned to check HomeTrust for trusted ID company, what about those ID company that didn’t even available in HomeTrust, or they only have one review? Shall we avoid it?

Anybody has comments on Mr Shopper Studio. Their projects look luxe and beautiful. After seeing their website, I feel that other renos are very contractor-like. Can’t even be called ID anymore.

But they are the most expensive. Not sure if I want to dump at least $150k into the reno.

Some so-called IDs are just glorified co-ordinators, while some are actually legit designers.

Yeah, this is not my first reno. For most of them, I feel I know more than them even. Makes me think maybe I should be a contractor.

Most of them are unable to propose anything much. Just ask me what I want to do here and there. I am more like the contractor to tell them what to do. When I ask for ideas, they say things I have already considered and in the end I still can’t decide what I should do.

I actually went to an ID firm which is quite a big one. They matched me with an ID and prepared a quotation for me.

In the end, I decided to approach a contractor. Cos ID firm quoted a lot more and kept suggesting hacking the walls for open concepts or doing fancy stuff which I did not quite like it. - thus the markup.

If you know what you want and not doing major overhaul, those neighbourhood shops renovation companies can save costs, some don’t even charge GST. I just show them those photos I sourced from Pinterest and get them to follow the designs. No need to get ID to design for you.
Hello, I just came across your post while searching for IDs. Would you mind sharing your experiences with your contractor? Is the workmanship good? Can I have their contact? I met about 7 IDs, and they all quoted me 45-50K for a simple, 3-rm resale renovation (mostly overlay + redo wardrobes/cabinets). Hoping that a contractor may be less expensive.
