I explained to them I have to resign for medical reasons. And I have no money to pay. I would rather die than pay them money. If they force me to pay, I may just commit suicide.
I don't know you personally and I don't know who your employer is.
But I strongly suggest you take down your posts and ask to close this thread because you're not doing yourself any favors, and quite possibly making things worse. You come across as a very rash and impulsive person. 3 months notice period is more or less the standard in our line.
Consider the following:
1. You signed a contract willingly.
2. You want to break the contract without serving the notice period, while trying to to cite a psychological diagnosis that cannot possibly be made within 1 week of stressor.
3. You do not want to provide compensation for the breach of contract, and in fact still expect to be paid.
4. On one hand you claim you have no ability to pay, while on the other you frequently flaunt your earning power, wealth and properties here.
I don't enjoy criticising people, but this all comes across as incredibly self-entitled behaviour.
Our professional circle is very small and especially for locums, reputation among peers is key for securing good slots. For your own sake, do you seriously think that pulling this kind of stunt is going to do your reputation any favors? How do you think the other clinic owners will feel about hiring a locum that's a smoking gun?
News travels fast. Unless you don't mind jostling with the young boys for high volume/low pay/bad timing locum slots, it would be prudent to not make a big fuss on an open forum.
It doesn't help that over the years you have rather carelessly revealed so much information about yourself on this forum that deducing your actual identity is a simple affair.
Burn your own bridges by all means. But please don't wash your dirty linen in public and tarnish the image of our profession. And please don't belittle the stigma suffered by psychiatric patients with such a flippant attitude.
Take this kind of talk offline. Consider this as friendly advice.
