Yes, I've read HWZ's recommendations before asking here...

My concern with the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C5790 is that it is a colorinkjet printer. The would be times when I hardly print anything for weeks, so would not want to deal with drying/dried ink tanks.

yup, same concern after my last inkjet dried up. my usage is irregular, can be almost a year left unused.

I bought the CANON ImageCLASS MF645Cx. Decided to cash & carry, so got a further $30 discount (paid $519 in the end). Word to the wise: accept the free delivery. The box is too large to fit into a normal sedan car...

If you don't care to jostle with the crowd at Suntec City, just buy online. Same deal, less one freebie: 100-pieces of printing paper.

Congrats!

And yes -- most of the $350 and upwards laser printers are very huge in packaging.

Looking for a home printer for occasional printing only
Considering between an inkjet vs laser printer
Is it true that Inkjet printer tends to dry up if you do not use for too long (few months) ?
Any recommendations ?

Thanks!
If you do not print often with inkjet, strongly recommend to choose Brother!

I've used 4 Epsons and 2 Brothers in the past 20 years. My last Epson was L210 ink tank model back in 2014. The clogged nozzles issue still not improved after so so many years. Now I stick to Brother. 2 months print once also no issue.

I have been using fuji xerox monochrome laser duplex scan m255z, m265z for the past 5 years.

My m265z is getting faulty and out of warranty.

Should I go for the updated M285z or cannon imageCLASS MF269dw? Both are at $350 range.

I print a lot of B&W text and picture worksheets and notes. About 5 boxes of A4 paper per year.

Looking at Brother MFC-L3770cdw, seem like on line is cheaper compare to the brochures price stated by $50 plus comparing last show in Sep
Actual price will be lower at the show?

I heard laser printer is better for printing text, but i'm wandering how much does the toner cost. Also, laser printers are so much bigger than inkjets :(
Yes. Laser printer somehow bigger than inkjet. They using toner powder type. Not worry will dry up. Yes. Printing text looks much nicer. I'm using HP laser printer

I bought the Brother MFC-L3770CDW in August via Hachi Online, selling at $578 for $420.78 after 20% off, Shopback and other rebates. Still got $40 voucher to claim from Brother.

You can wait or see Best Denki. They had promo @ $488. If I remember.

I know IT show Brother has lucky dip. Not bad prizes though.
