oh i saw that. was thinking can manually update ourself.. so it have to be pushed from singtel.

curious.. may i ask if i connect the mesh to my singtel router, instead of connect mio tv to my singtel router, can i connect to the mesh and still able to watch?

yes, miotv can be connected to either singtel router or mesh for the tv connection.

Yes exactly.. but if u anyone wants update can just plug into SingTel network of another user and it shall receive update lor..

Cannot connect to Mesh

Hi Singtel, i cant connect to the air mesh. it says connection secured, no internet on pc. and Failed to obtain IP address on my S7 Edge.

Can I have the download link to the latest firmware please? This is so ridiculous. I bought a dual pack and the firmware in both units are totally different.

I've been using the 1.21 firmware for a while, speeds have always been slow.. Speedtest averages at around 80-90mbps even when I'm right next to the Airties unit.

My setup is two Airties units each connected via ethernet cable to the optical network router directly (no wireless router inbetween).

PM-ed singtel to ask for the latest 1.33 firmware to be pushed (several days ago) and yesterday my WiFi at home suddenly could not work.

After troubleshooting, ended up checking each unit individually with the other one off, realised that the update was remotely pushed but one unit is now on 1.33 and the other is on 1.21. When both are connected and turned on, both units fail to work.

Interestingly, I can speedtest at over 200mbps with just one unit on acting as an access point. We'll see if the 1.33 firmware is better..

Anyway, this is really a pain.. I kept just one unit (the one on 1.21) on and PM-ed Singtel to push update again but no reply yet and no update was pushed.

Singtel, when you see this, can you just send me the link to the 1.33 firmware and I'll update it myself? That's probably more reliable to me.

Otherwise, anybody experienced calling Singtel hotline to ask them to push update before? Can they do it? I remember a reply some pages back where the Singtel operators on the line had no idea about firmware update and could not help.

I just signed the 1GB Fibre Broadband and a 3 month free Singtel TV.However, the fibre termination point in my unit is too far away from the TV set and it's impossible to connect the STB to the router.
I am wondering if it's possible to connect the STB to the Mesh instead. Kindly also advise me the quality of TV signal from the Mesh.

basically your question will only invite an open answer. No one can tell you the quality of singtel tv viewing experience as anything that transmit via wifi will invite interference. However if your set top box is connected to a node which is connected to the router, then your singtel tv should not be unreliable as the node is merely acting as a switch..

Yes, it's possible.

Are you currently using a DVR STB or the normal STB?

For the normal STB, there should be no issue.

Okay nevermind situation resolved..

I just got home to find that the node on the old firmware (I only left that one on before leaving for work) has been updated to 1.33, so I turned the other on and now the network is working.

Think the person on the Singtel account will eventually read and do stuff but not necessarily type a response.

Also, speedtest is now giving me 300mbps download and 200+ upload which is a big improvement from before, so maybe this firmware version is much better than the old one?

Since SingTel is using the AirTies Air 4920 why not just buy the unit (looking online it seems to cost around $100 per unit) It seems cheaper compared to buying from SingTel at $240 for 2 sets over 24 months

though is true and had the same thought initially. only disadvantage is you can’t get the updates as the updates is managed by singtel

Can't it be updated manually from the web interface or app? Or maybe SingTel modified the mesh to only have their software

SingTel mesh is branded under singtel, so it’s definitely running customised firmware which is for singtel usage only..
