Restarted the nodes and still the same?

I have been using 3 Askey meshes (5-room flat) for the past 2 weeks, on the first 2 days the speed has been incredible.... but for the past week the speed dipped by quite a bit and am experiencing very high ping.

This applies to both my desktop computers at home (having great results at the start but getting very poor speed and high pings now). Is anyone else facing the same problem?

Hi cloudangel,

To better determine what the problem might be, could we ask how are you connecting between your Askey nodes? Any wired, or is there only one wired to RG/ONR?

Also are you currently using an ONR?

Finally, could you PM us your Singnet ID please?

Thanks.

Yea... restarted nodes, restarted router also still the same... wierd

Does Askey Mesh support Multi Nodes Ethernet backhaul with SingTel Mio TV Setup Box?

Router (Lan Port 1) <-- Ethernet -- Askey Node 1
Router (Lan Port 2) <-- Ethernet -- Askey Node 2 <-- SingTel Mio TV Setup Box

The only wired is 1 Askey node connected to the Singnet Aztech router.

The 2 other Askey nodes are placed independently (not wired) in the various rooms.

I believe mine is on ONT, which is connected to the router? Not sure if that what you are asking

Hi cloudangel,

We have passed on your details to our WIFI Mesh team to follow-up on.

Can I know if the AirTies can be configured in bridge mode and purely for wireless access only ? The DHCP would be by the router. Thks

Hi! I'm not very good with WiFi mesh. I've got two 4920 in my house. Below is the screenshot of my connection.

https://imgur.com/GmxKEYI

The connection speed is ~500Mbps. The two nodes are roughly 11.2 meters away. My download speed is ~120Mbps only. I'm using a desktop for wireless connection. My questions are;

1) If i get another node (4920) to place it in my room and use a LAN cable to connect the new node, will i get a better download speed? I am also thinking of using it for Wake-on-Lan as i understand i cannot wake my computer using WiFi connection.
2) Is my connection normal in the picture attached? I thought connection speed should be at least 1000Mbps? Or i need to get another node to place it in between my current two nodes?

The speed you circled is the wifi linkrate. It can never go near 1gbps unless both nodes are wired up, then the backhaul will be 1gbps.

Have you checked if your wifi card can support wireless ac at 2x2?

Hi lowy,

Apologies for the delayed reply, our engineers suggest that you can configure the SSID on the Basic TAB of the 2.4GHz Wireless or at the Basic TAB of the 5GHz Wireless.

Let us know if this works for you.

Thanks.

My Askey AP5100W wireless router is not able to get an Internet connection. I have verified that the Singtel Internet is working, and I can see the Askey SSID but the phone says that the SSID doesn't have an Internet connection.

Can any kind soul send me the Askey instruction manual so that I can try to reconfigure it? I can't find the manual online zzz

Hi Singtel, was this issue ever resolved with the Askey AP5100W?

I am having the same exact problem. I have 3 mesh nodes. 1 wired to the Singtel router, the other 2 wireless. The first day of installation, the meshes paired and everything was working fine in the day. All lights were green on all 3 mesh units. At night 1 of the wireless nodes just unpaired itself and the 5ghz red LED started flashing. I tried pairing it again but it doesn't work no matter how many times I tried. I confirm that Singtel internet is working and the SSID is still being broadcast from the wifi mesh but the phone says the SSID doesn't have an internet connection. My Dad called up Singtel Customer Service and the CSO just brought him one big round and told him to visit AMK Hub Singtel Shop where we got the meshes. He went down and after discussion with the salesperson and the manager, the manager told him that he would process a refund and requested that he bring back the 3 units of Askey AP5100W as the Askey AP5100W is not recommended for multi-storey homes. This was not made known to us when we got the units and we specifically informed the salesperson that we are living in a 2-storey house and require 3 nodes.

It seems like your staff at AMK Hub is just trying to choose the easy way out to refund the units without even trying to solve our problem. If the Askey AP5100W is not suitable then would the other mesh systems that Singtel carry be suitable? Or are they all not recommended for multi-storey homes? FYI, we have not refunded the units yet.

thks for advice, so there is no means of getting the Airties to be on bridge mode like the Velop ? i realise there is an IP address for each of my node from the Airties app, means this is AP mode?
