Anyone here staying in 2 room BTO?

Should we move it to HomeSeekers and HomeMakers?

Sous vide takes time. 2hrs plus/minus. And a good steam oven is costly. You can do your steak in the air fryer too. Just get a temperature probe if you are particular about the temp of meat. And finish off searing in a sauce pan/w lid. It keeps much of the oil splatter within.

I'm using borosilicate glass containers and a decent sized air fryer bought off shopee. Preparing meal is easy.

Used to try out different spices and herbs from phoon huat. After a while, found out that salt is the best in elevating the taste of meat, fish and eggs.

it's really puzzling that only rvs ntuc have the discounted butter. But thanks for the heads up!

ME like to roast meat, so no need clean up. pana steam oven is around 500 (21L), i have only 40cm deep so my choice is limited and no offer so i wait

want to use the steam to roast meat so it more juicy, also can try Sous vide without getting a stand alone Sous vide item

so cutting my salt intake so can only use spices and herbs

Salt is not the cause of hypertension.

Insulin resistance/hyperinsulinemia is. And it's caused by carbs and sugar. Always check the carbs content of what you eat. It eventually breaks down to glucose.

sodium is.

i eat BCM , will increase my blood pressure
i eat cake, chocolate, will not increase my blood pressure

Yes — too much sodium can increase blood pressure, especially in people who are salt-sensitive.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sodium attracts water.
  • When you eat a lot of sodium, your body holds onto more water.
  • This extra water increases the volume of blood in your vessels.
  • More volume = more pressure on your blood vessel walls = higher blood pressure.

Over time:

  • High sodium intake can stiffen or narrow blood vessels.
  • That makes your heart work harder, raising the risk of hypertension, heart attack, or stroke.

But not everyone is equally sensitive:

  • Some people can eat more sodium without a big blood pressure change.
  • Others (especially older adults, people with kidney disease, or certain genetic backgrounds) are more sensitive.

Bcm is mostly noodles (carbs). Likewise for the cake and chocolates (sugar and flour)

These causes insulin and glucose to spike. In the long run, eating such food, one can be sure that the insulin will go higher till the point of resistance.

Aldosterone, a hormone that regulates bp is heavily influenced by hyperinsulinemia.

You can find out on details about insulin resistance, aldosterone, hypertension.

It's always great to expand our knowledge beyond what we know.

I try to eat as less rice and noodles as possible these days. Just dairy products, meat and vegetables.

However I'm guilty of high sugar consumption. Beer. Good for clearing bowels though. One shot come out the intestines inside all empty. :ROFLMAO:

Just made my first offer for a 2rm resale :o

Which district?

Since going for resale best is 3-Room flat or bigger if able to afford.

I know some are super low income earners. If really cannot wait for BTO flat can go for those 2-room resale flats with lease balance less than 50 years for affordability.

Just take it as paying long term rent upfront. If get SERS down the road then it is a blessing.

When reach 55 years ago can apply for 2-Room BTO flat with flexi lease. Since you already have a roof over your head you can take your time to hiam on the location.

Want to buy flat be it BTO or resale do it as soon as possible. PAPaya will never make HDB flats as affordable as in the 1970s. 1 breadwinner can raise a family of 5 on a single income.

It will only get even more expensive. Just look at the population increase data you will know.

Somewhere in the west :o
Yeah can't afford (new) 3rm and above so decided on newer 2rm units instead.

Decided against buying older 3rm units cuz doesn't have much years left + I need to spend more on reno.
