Anyone regret getting iPhone X?

“Miss 7+ larger screen”??!? The screen for X is bigger than the 7+ but overall form factor is smaller!! What is there to miss. Worth the 1.9k and enjoying it.

Could’ve place a floating in screen button, would work better

that one no choice ah.

last time need to key password or touch id. so basically the phone challenge the user for input.
now the face is always authenticating, need some user input to double confirm.

and people can still press on it accidentally.

they wan it to be out of the way so to confirm the installation. at least from a UI point of view.

and it will be standardised for other apps that needs FaceID (i think). so next time you are prompted to press the side button, you know what's up le.

screen size is measured by area. Plus versions iphones have bigger screen area than X.

That and touchID is the reason i am getting an 8+ next week instead of X from applestore. saw the reviews and i still prefer ips lcd screens n touchID.

forgot 1 more very important reason: 8+ battery last longer than X by about 100 minutes for the same test done by ars technica, even though X dual batteries are rated slightly higher than 8+ single battery.

Also, i never like version1 products. the only version 1 product i was happy with was iphone4. i used that phone for 5.5 years till the original battery cannot hold any more charge.

gettting the 8+ to replace my 4.

does Apple Pay get activated when it is close to a terminal?

some far i read, open Apple Pay but double pressing side button, FaceID to authenticate and then bring phone close to terminal.

but does it work the other way around like TouchID? bring to terminal, Apple Pay opens up, TouchID authenticate.

It does but you still have to bring up to your face to authenticate. So why not authenticate first before holding close to the terminal?

Definitely not next year. This notch will be iconic like the home button in every iPhone.

yup. original battery expanded in its 4th year. but i could continue charging n using it till battery finally cannot hold charge. lucky never sexplode/catch fire like samsung. apple quality is there. so no regrets buying another apple phone. 2 years ago got 2nd mobile line on 6s+. now getting 8+ next week for my iphone4 line.

Actually it is not always the case. The iPhone X length/width ratio is much higher so the app developed for all other iPhones when being opened on iPhone X will leave 2 ugly back areas at 2 sides, making the effective on screen display much smaller. We will need to wait tillthe apps are optimised for iPhone X. When Samsung S8 was released it also has the same problem for a while.

Ya. Horrible viewing angle. Color shift and shimmer.

not a fan of Touch ID, cos the sensor seems not able to scan my other fingers esp those which aren't often used for the scanning. Only miss the swap up to close apps from my IP6S. FaceID works pretty well so far, works in the dark but not when I am lying down. OLED looks great, thought haven't seen how HDR movies look.

The screen size is the major deal breaker. I watch a lot of videos on YouTube. The IPhone x screen is just too small. The width makes alot of difference.

The notch is iconic? What’s iconic about iPhones so far is the beautiful symmetry of the phone. The x isn’t, thanks to the notch.

2 units and still not for me. the phone is just small for usage. been using plus for 3yrs plus and this. Viewing angles. feels like a downgrade. sigh.
