Anyone regret getting iPhone X?

Why do you need to care about viewing angles when most of the time you look at the phone directly? FaceID also do not work so well at a angle.

coz once you know the display is inferior. every time you look at it, it is looking right back at you.

that is why display is such an important component. Apple perfected it for 10 years. resisted to use anything else until this year.

not about using it at an angle. more about knowing it.

can't believe the rest of the smartphones are using such a blasphemous display technology.

Don't think so. It is meant for people to recognize an iPhone.

I’m loving it. I came from the Redmi note 2 . Regret that’s it bloody expensive but hey gotta pamper yourself sometimes.

The size of videos is fine for me, maybe cos my shortsightedness is damn bad, so the phone is pretty near my face when I lie down to watch them

Yes. Width of screen make very big difference to iphone plus user

The screen size is the major deal breaker. I watch a lot of videos on YouTube. The IPhone x screen is just too small. The width makes alot of difference.

Well.. Space is needed to house the sensors. No way you can build those sensors on the screen..

Its either have a notch or u have extra skin above..

My preference is the notch can be viewed as a sort of design that stands out bah..

How is playing games on the X?

Apple store deliberately didnt install game on their display unit or no time? I want to see whether blocking my screen / If yes, can i accept it or not.

Youtube and games not even installed on display set

coming from experience owning a S8, which also sports a 5.8 inch screen with long ratios. I find it smaller than the iphone plus.

yes width is important too, if screen goes too long, no matter how large the screen is, also will look small.

now back to using ip8+, i m glad my screen is huge, effective use area is exact 5.5 inch. What i wonder is if ipx effective use screen is 5.8. I doubt so even when apps is optimised. Even apps is optimised i guess effective use screen is 5.5 - 5.6

that’s part of reason why i holding my purchase of ipx... don’t want to regret the same way as i regret with S8.

If there is one reason which i want to change to X, that will be face id. But i guess matured time to change is 2018 new iphone release.

yup. original battery expanded in its 4th year. but i could continue charging n using it till battery finally cannot hold charge. lucky never sexplode/catch fire like samsung. apple quality is there. so no regrets buying another apple phone. 2 years ago got 2nd mobile line on 6s+. now getting 8+ next week for my iphone4 line.

Not good, it gets very hot. Anyone else feel the same?
I'm comparing to 6S Plus, I can play for an hour and the phone doesn't heat up but iPhone X heat up in 5 min. (Playing indoor)

Not much heating issues when playing games but most games not optimized so end up playable screen size smaller

Most of the apps I use fit the iPhone X, though some have weird design bugs (not optimised). The apps that aren’t updated yet are either google apps or hopeless shat that didn’t get updated in years (one recently got an update to be compatible with iOS 11 and that’s it)
