yes TDA charges a fee for it. however since I plan to put it there for 10-20yrs I doubt it will matter

Yes you can. follow their deposit instruction under account centre > deposit> wire transfer.

it took me 11 weeks, on average I think its 8 weeks

The opposite can also happen. What was the reason why Charles Schwab left Singapore? Now after acquiring TDA, if those reasons are still valid, they might close the Singapore entity of TDA.

I am exploring more options to convert USD to SGD.

Just completed the test transfer, it was surprisingly fast.
eMulti-Currency US$ Remit to TDA WellsFargo.

For the transaction I did there were no bank charges.
For reference I completed my DBS S$-> FSM S$-US$ -> DBS US$-> TDA US Wells Fargo bank within 7 business days.

if you deposit amount >3k just drop their support chat a message in their app.
they won't ask a question and will turn on live data for you.

if you value is lower or paper trade, you may want to tell them you want to try out their platform before coming in big etc..

I see that they automatically turned on live data for me alr so guess need 1 working day and during sg time for them to process it
