what is the stage you are stuck in? They take about 7-8 week for the paper work to be review and approved.

Can anyone tell me how long is takes to approve my application. I call last month and they say it will take more than a month. Now it is nov and still no reply from them. Is this normal 2 months to open an online account?
I went to IB last week and open an account in 1 hours and fund it the next day. why the difference??? IB accepted my money to their dbs account here. How come so convenient.??

Just got my account activated. May I check how long does the funding takes and is the conversion rate competitive?

Hi guys
I finally give up and sign up with IB. complete application and approved in one hour . Funding was internal bank transfer from my multipler DBS to IB DBS and took 1 day.. Trading start the next day. Everything was free as transfer was from my USD account in DBS.
One trade done buying 100 shares costing about 30k and commission was a $1 !!!!

I am still waiting TD application after 2 months. Can some TD user explain why they put up with this TD service??? Am I missing something that TD is offering???

Hi...please read my post for account funding and let me know how your funding goes with TD. I am really interested to know what is so good about TD to justify all of us waiting months to open account.

zero commission, zero activity fee. so for those long term.

Their options while slightly expensive, generally fill extremely well price for some reason. But I am too used to TWS to trade options on ToS

great. thanks guys.
commission free is better than $1 . How about withdrawal? If TD uses an US bank then DBS charge for incoming oversea remittance on top of whatever TD is charging. Anybody can share

Likely will keep my TD applicaion and wait for approval , then trade both brokerage for comparison.

I still learning about day trading. been reading and watching utube video. Most do not subscribed to your statement.
According to them execution and no front loading matters more. meaning if the brokerage managed the spread and non-execution, u will always end up losing more than the $1. Just my 2cent contribution.

My long term horizon is looking at 20-35 years.. by then I am not sure the withdraw fee matters

Hi @onemanpunch , good answer.. we prepare to gladly pay as only when we make money we withdraw.

i see you in the IB chat also, Can i know your story...your experience with both platform and some trading strategy.
I started with IB last week and still waiting TD. I am afraid of losing my money to scammer so I think best to split the fund to 2 brokerage. what do you think.

I dont get the scammer part.

I split my account so I wont see my long term account as I trade. This stops me from my warm butter hands
