Anyone using the Daiso $2 apple cable?

maybe can try that apple shop (dont know what name) in jurog pt last weekend i remember seeing their sets using that funny looking big head plug (unless i blur see wrongly)

the 3 pin plug is more important than the usb cable. you can use a normal $2 cable with the original 3 pin plug and it will charge fine. Use a 3rd party charging plug, the power may not be regulated properly, that would probably cause problems. either not charging properly or a surge that kills ur phone.

Look at it another way, stock cables that you get for your TV set, hi fi equipment, dvd players etc are usuaally of very low cost and maybe ?low quality. That's why the enthusiasts are spending big bugs buying much more expensive cables.
To them it makes a difference in the sound/picture quality but sometimes to the layman, there is no diff.

Similarly, the charging/syn cable provided by Apple probably is not much diff from the cheap $2 Daiso cable.
You are being charged for the packaging.

hey fellow bros, i bought mine at Vivo too. you can't find it b'cos it's located within the cashier's counter. So approach the cashier where you make payment to request for it, just like how it works for buying screen protectors at Daiso.

no way..apple one is metal connector while Daiso one is PLASTIC connector

I agree with you. generic USB charging cables if charging by USB only carry 5watts? Use a un-regulated 3 pin plug, you might have 20 W pumping thru ur idevice.

Bought my 3GS in May this year. Through online,I bought two chiong USB cables. At home I used original,in car and office chiong cables. For charging wise,no issue. However, I experienced the following:
1) with my sanyo external batt(5000mah),for chiong cable I came across 2-3 times the charging aborted. No issue with original cable
2) on chiong cable for for iTunes sync with my laptop,out of the 4 USB slots on my laptop,a times some refused to sync and unable to recognize plus charging. On original certainly no issue.
So you be the judge

as long the cable is able to support 1A at 5V (which is not alot) it should be ok.

"audiophile-grade" power plugs can cost a few hundred bucks. Go google, or visit local audio forums such as xtremeplace.com or echoloft to see how much $$$ sgreans are spending on "plugs".....

I prefer the daiso cable than original cause the connector is plastic.Even if you insert anyhow also not so easily scratch compare to metal.

TV plugs? or plugs for their audiophile equipment?. Anyway, i am just making an example of it.

Does the Daiso cable cost the iphone and external battery to heat up when charging ?
I used a$2.50 retractable cable to chage my iphone using an external battery pack and both iphone and battery feels hot after a while.
But when using original apple cable it does not feel hot at all.
And it seems that using original apple cable my ext battery can last longer.
So is it the power when using the cheap cable was conveted into heat instead of charging the iphone ?
