Am new to this youtrip card. When I top up Singapore dollars to the app in Japan, will I be changed for overseas spending on my bank cards? Or will it still constitute as a local Singapore transaction?

Is there any way to get a transaction statement like those credit card monthly statement in Youtrip? Don't see any such option in the apps.
Transferwise has such a option and it's very useful to see the total spending for the trip.

No because youtrip is like a digital wallet on its own. When you spend, no overseas charge to your bank because it's his own thing.

Only thing is you do get charged a fee when you withdraw from ATM but because the rates are typically better than money changer, it's worth it.

Only thing I don't like is that SG and some of Japan still a bit backwards in embracing cashless so probably need to have some cash on hand.

Australia has embraced cashless seamlessly. No matter where I went whether it's a small local shop or the big supermarket chains, can just swipe my card and pay. 6 months there and I totally stopped drawing cash by the 2nd month :s13:

Hi

If used this card to pay for a hotel booking but cancelled it subsequently, will the card be able to support the refunding?

Yup. it is known as smartexchange. it is what it is said on the payment list in the app. The rate is pretty good. close to market rate. Many posts from different people should serve as sufficient evidences.
