I use this card mainly for the dining rebate as we spend quite a bit on dining outside and after all the roundings it is still about 2.5% rebate. Posb everyday need to do giro to get 1%. I hate to do giro. I want the flexibility to change cards.

Even after rounding down it shouldn't drop from 5% to 2.5% mah...

For recurring bills linked to CC, as long as the payment using anothet card is settled before a certain trigger date, then no flexibility is lost

Actually I was using the Optimum card for all transactions. For non dining spend I get only 1% so the avg gets pulled down to about 2.5%. Still not bad considering that UOB one gets you 3.33% but need to spend 500 every month.

Only recently I started using dual cards after I got citi SMRT card which I use for atu and have given it to my wife for grocery shopping at fairprice. But still all other spend goes to Optimum card.

If the annual fee cannot be waived, then I will surely cancel this card.

But I wonder which card to use that gives atleast 2% rebate on dining without any minimum monthly spend.

UOB PP Visa 10X UNI$/ 4 miles per $ for Visa Paywave transactions, online shopping and entertainment or UOB PP Amex same as above for all dining except hotel i think

I can't get fee waiver
they offer me 50% which is $90
I spend around 15K/month on this card, and I get around $750 back per month.
So I think yeah giving back to them $90 is still ok.

Last month, I can't get annual fee on my Travel card waived, so I threaten to cancel, finally they waived off the annual fee on that card.

15k/month and yet no full fee waiver is crazy!

are they the same?

of course they are not the same. that's why I asked the question. ;)

you might wanna do a complete and detailed Optimum$ tracing all the way back to your very first transaction and check if all the Optimum$ tally with the rebate according to your spendings.
