yes. once approved, it will be used to deduct from your next upcoming credit card bill.

What if you request to redeem Optimum$ but cannot meet the spending in the next cycle (i.e. you ask to redeem 100 Optimum$ but spend only $40 next month)? Will it remain as a credit in your account for the next cycle?

iirc, it will bring over. Happened to me 1-2 times last year when I just started using.

as long as it doesn't disappear... we shall see :)

I might have found a new dining card. Do you think this card is good for anything else? Travel/shopping are both a bit risky right?

Yup. If possible, can split to multiples of $600 or less

thanks! dont think i can split in such ways furthermore mine is still in Groceries category, can change only in Jun 2016.

btw did u guys use the optimum$ for the annual fee waiver? or jus purely on cash rebates and then call up to ask for waiver??

I think someone mentioned in this thread a long long time ago that travel agent can do it. Provided you go down to their branch of course

Thinking of signing up for this card.

Currently got this promo whereby new sign-ups can get $100 cashback, if they charge at least $488 within 1 month of approval?

Is this true? Anyone can confirm?

True but... I got card in Dec'15 and spend more than 3k monthly so far. They "forget" about my 100, so I chased and I chased and I chased... and finally got it in this month (April).

But for a frequent business traveller like myself, the hotel charges/rebates are really wonderful. Disappointed to hear that nobody got the waiver approved so far. What's the rationale, especially if one always pays his bills on time? But if anyone got a successful wavier, please let us know.

As a backup, I am considering asking my wife to apply when my first year expires and I become supplementary card. She is currently my sup card holder (not sure if this will be an issue??). Or go for the UOB One card. Any recommendations.

I use this card mainly for the dining rebate as we spend quite a bit on dining outside and after all the roundings it is still about 2.5% rebate also I pay my SingTel and starhub bill on this card. Posb everyday need to do giro to get 1%. I hate to do giro. I want the flexibility to change cards.

If the annual fee cannot be waived, then I will surely cancel this card.

But I wonder which card to use that gives atleast 2% rebate on dining without any minimum monthly spend.

Hi, did yoy pay telco bills at their website or through other channels?

hmm.. is it just me.. I hate miles because I can never redeem them on dates that I like. Perhaps, I only holiday during school breaks (peak season) and hence impossible to redeem. Besides SQ taxes/ fuel charges are fairly significant, if I do get to redeem, I end up paying almost the same price if I were to take a non-SQ flight. :s11:

Got a question, if I apply now I would get this $100 cash rebate and if I use it to buy iphone(e.g. $1k) with m1, which category should I choose? Or none applies for the 5%?

Or is the HSBC luggage more worth it?

Hi,

Got my card last month and did a online purchase from Amazon.com. I chose the shopping category upon signup.
Just received my 1st statement and noticed I wasn't awarded any Optimum$, not even 1%. Is online shopping on Amazon.com excluded?

Anybody face the same as me?
