Got a question, if I apply now I would get this $100 cash rebate and if I use it to buy iphone(e.g. $1k) with m1, which category should I choose? Or none applies for the 5%?

Or is the HSBC luggage more worth it?

The current Samsonite luggage promo by HSBC is awful... personally i wait until they clear out this batch and see if the next luggage is nicer

Got my card last month and did a online purchase from Amazon.com. I chose the shopping category upon signup.
Just received my 1st statement and noticed I wasn't awarded any Optimum$, not even 1%. Is online shopping on Amazon.com excluded?

Anybody face the same as me?

Yes Assume 0.9 optimum$ calculated for a $19.99 transaction under 5% category but there is no further transaction to make up the remaining 0.1 optimum$ for the whole month. At the end of the month 0.9 optimum$ gets rounded down, end up no optimum$ earned in the month.

True but... I got card in Dec'15 and spend more than 3k monthly so far. They "forget" about my 100, so I chased and I chased and I chased... and finally got it in this month (April).

On the other hand, I spent $506 in my first month (tracked my card spending quite carefully) and got the noticed saying I earned the rebate painlessly in the second month...

Considered as fast food restaurant which gives up to 5% optimum$ under dining and entertainment category

Caution if you choose to use the card. Must try to earn just enough optimum$ (50 or 180) to redeem the rebate before annual fee is charged. I have to forfeit 36 optimum$ cause annual fee cannot be waived and i cancelled card.

I called waited v long no answer, i wrote an mail to them using Ibanking, lets see what they said. the late charges i more than my last month statement . if theyt dont waive no choice , wont be using this card anymore since getting BOC family le

yea their call centre is really f up.... wait damn long. so i just leave it on loud speaker mode and do my other stuffs.

and the CSO attitude is really very lousy ,i ask for wavier, she say cannot then follow by ' are they other things that i can help? ' immediately shutting me out from requesting for waiver.

Urs is annual fee waiver? Just felt sian cos nv receive mail statement thus forget abt the bill n kanna bill 60
