How to see which category I selected for this quarter huh?
When I log in, I see this 'Tagged transactions for cycle' but it is for March6 to May21 (I think it will change to June yup?)
So it means the 3 month starts from March6-June5, the next one is from June6-Sept5?

Yes, I agree compared to ANZ Optimum the HSBC is not worth it, but this is my backup plan in case, ANZ refuse to waive off my fees.

BOC card will probably be my next card to apply. I think BOC, Maybank and CIMB are the only 3 remaining cards that I have not applied. I have applied and canceled all other cards, HSBC, this is the 3rd time I am applying, lol. DBS 2 times. Citi 2 times. Stanchart 1 time. OCBC 1 time. UOB 1 time.

banks re ok with you cancelling and applying and cancelling and reapplying? :s13:

3 months for the 5% category are calendar months jan to mar, apr to jun etc. Will keep same category as first quarter if you did not reselect for the second quarter of your card sign up. After that must select category at least 5 days before end of quarter, otherwise no more 5% categoey for the new quarter. Can call in if you forgotten which category u chosen.

Means cannot view it online? That's kinda bad. It should be quite a easy thing to implement.

Yes, no problem. Just follow their T&C. You should not have cancelled or held their card for the last 12 months. So 12 months is the cooling-off period for most banks.

But Stan chart I noticed, is very clever, in their T&C they have mentioned, if a customer was given cash rebate under any promotion in the past then it wont be given again. So I haven't applied for stan chart for the 2nd time.

Unless other banks follow suit, SCB would just be alienating people who apply for CC for the cashback. There should be better ways to prevent abuse of CC's cashback promo instead of making them never come back again.

Spending below $10 do not earn any Optimum$? Right?

No really.

Optimum$ earned per transaction is rounded down to nearest 0.1 optimum$ (capped at 60 optimum$ per transaction)
-For spending under 5% category, every $2 spending earn 0.1 optimum$.
-For spending under 1%, every $10 spending earn 0.1 optimum$.

At the end of statement month, optimum$ earned for the month rounded down to nearest optimum$.

I agree that we should be able to see the reward points easily when we login to our ibanking account.
