just got my card and saw a clause for the rebate, abit unclear therefore i would like to clarify.

it says that spend incurred for wedding banquet are not entitled to the rebates. for now i wanna use my card to pay a $1000 deposit for my wedding banquet. its at a restaurant, not hotel. any idea if it will be accepted as DINING instead so that i can get the maximum rebate?

thanks :D

my understanding is that as long as u swipe using the same terminal then it will be fine. but remember to split that $1000 deposit into 2 bills to maximise the benefits :)

Please advise this forum of the status once you get the statement. I am assuming the ANZ mark-up will be 2.5%, and the Optimum$ earning will be 5%, yielding net 2.5%.

2.5% is the norm for the foreign currency exchange fees.

These are the correct numbers. I've used it in restaurants in several countries.

I now use this card for my biz trips, as most of my expenses are hotels and dining. I hardly stay for more than 2 nights in a location, so rarely hit the $600 limit.

same here. as my business trip are usually within a 4-hour radius.

I rarely hit the $600 limit per transaction.
