ANZ refused to waive off my Optimum card annual fee.
Even I want to cancel it, he said need to pay the card fee first.
Anyone encountered this ?

when did u call ?
He even ask me why I want to waive annual card fee ! lol
Then I told him most banks will waive off the annual card fee, if can't waive then cancel it. No need to pay for it. I told him it ridiculous to pay, then he said he will send a 2nd appeal to the management will take 3 working days to know the results via sms. It already passed 5 working days still no news. :(

Fee Waiver

Successful at first try! The Filipino CSO at first said "There is no fee waiver" but she put me on hold anyway. Few minutes later she said the fee status will be updated 3-5 working days. I was like "Ok so should I pay the annual fees while waiting?" "No it's approved already."

Didn't even threaten to cancel... :s12:

Accidentally overpaid my ANZ card last month thanks to their crappy billing system, luckily managed to spend it down to $0 and paid all my outstanding bills liao...now waiting to standby and "cut loss" if they decide to charge me annual fee for this card.
