Bright enough for what?

It's bright enough for others to see you, whether it is bright enough for you to see by is another question.

Should try lor halus and the stretch linking pasir rise to pasir ris farmway beside the canal.

actually wondering for those who want to cycle fast.

efficient pedaling positioning or aero positioning better?

somehow i reach my max speed when doing a more aero position but lose pedaling efficiency.

example: during my aero positioning, i cant climb (my body gets lifted up instead) but during normal positioning, i can use my arms to pull my weight down.

i think the difference is when i bend down into aero positioning, my body weight is pushed at the front of the handlebar, but sitting upright the weight is directly against the pedals.

Yes, that stretch is very dark as is some parts of Lim Chu Kang.

The poster needs to give us a bit more info about where he rides and speeds but the light that he is looking at is good enough for probably 85% of SG's roads. Not very good for PCNs.

Vertex, have more brands to choose from, although limited.

Anyone have any idea if local shops sell this kind of mtb shoes? Where the sole is completely flat kind.

Just got my foldie few days back. Looking to get a few stuffs like helmets, locks, seats and etc...

Anyone got recommendations of shops in the central/east for accessories?

For budget of $50 each, any seats and helmets to recommend?

Well, the one posted is good enough for normal use. The street lights are quite good on most roads. The lights are not good enough to see by on PCNs but they are more than enough for others to see you.

Most "front brake mount" lights are dyno-powered though which means more cash needed.

Actually I wanted to get vintage looking bicycle lights (Non-Dyno) from Aliexpress but some of them look kinda flimsy.

Hi all,

i want to start to cycle as part of exercising too. Running and Swimming starting to get mundane for me.

I been reading this thread, but i still would like to seek advices.

Will an hybrid or road bike be good for me? Mostly will be PCN.

I would like to start with entry level, i guess merida ( hup leong) or polygon ( rodalink) is good enough.

But i am located in AMK. is there any bike shop in this area that stocks entry level bike around so that i can test ride?

Thanks all..

Those are dirt cheap! I'd buy a couple just to have a spare. :s13:

As for Lor Halus and that Pasir Ris stretch...those are very short stretches. You could also avoid the canal part and simply ride on the road. It will take a few minutes longer but would be safer.

Hmm.. Will you be looking to increasing your cycling speed and distance in the near future?

Hybrid bike is more versatile and comfortable with suspension if it have.

Chapter 2 Cycle in AMK stock Trek and Merida .
