Can be either mounted via either BB or ISCG or ISCG05.

To The Point - Chain Guides - Pinkbike

Which model you riding bro? Easiest fail-safe solution, is to check out on mtbr/vitalmtb, what other fellow users' setups are like. HTH. :)

Riding a Merida TFS mtb. Researched online... but nothing much on it. I guess this is not a popular setup.... at least globally. You riding mtb or roadie?

In the end I chose to keep my triple front chainrings. The need to travel across urban areas and the various "playgrounds" I visit means I end up using both the biggest and the smallest too.

Good to hear that you're still hanging on to your bargain bike. :o

Wow s3 seems a good deal!!

Not bad if you'd like a good balance between aero and comfort. :) S2 complete bike is $4.4k, same frame as S3, only diff fork. The new R2 is $3,990 for complete bike, same frame as the higher end R3 and same frame shape as the top end R5.

This is the reason I asked about R5, its local pricing with DA Di2.
Video: Garmin-Sharp Cervélo R5 voted best team bike in Cyclingnews Reader Poll | Cyclingnews.com

Results
1 Garmin-Sharp Cervélo R5 23.58%
2 Team Sky Pinarello Dogma F8 16.92%
3 Astana Specialized S-Works Tarmac 14.87%
4 Cannondale SuperSix EVO 11.00%
5 Trek Factory Racing Trek Domane Classics 9.93%
6 BMC TeamMachine SLR01 8.81%
7 Movistar Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 6.83%
8 Orica-GreenEdge Scott Foil 3.77%
9 Ag2r-La Mondiale Focus Izalco Max 2.36%
10 Rabobank-Liv Liv Envie Advanced 1.93%

This is merely a poll of Cycling News readers on their fave pro bike. By no means, it is an indication of quality of the bikes on the list nor their suitability to different riders. It is also NOT a denial of good bikes that are not on the list purely because the bike brand does not pay obscene loads of $$$ to pro cycling teams to ride their bikes in races.

Hhm ic. Maybe you can go back ask the guys at HL? Last time on my Trance, my setup went from: stock 3 rings -> 2 smaller rings + bashguard -> 32t NW + 42t Wolftooth giant cog behind (only drop chain once in ~9 months fyi).

The last config I carried over to my SB66. Frankly its performance is 95% as good as XX1 on my other bike, but at a fraction of the cost.

I ride both trail and road. :)

This is interesting.....

heng my orpit chair is those mesh type, so i just lean front a bit.

when i sit on moi normal chair, i push myself back to "lift" myself so that i am sort of "floating" on it....

of cos this results in chair failure like :(
brokenchair.jpg

and i just sit on my ankle for chairs without cushion :s22:

i'm running a RF NW single on my Merida Big Nine. Your chainguide choices may be quite limited if you are on a lower end model.
My frame did not have the ISCG tabs nor an external BB so i had to use a tube mounted chain guide.

Currently using this Origin8 guide.
Origin8

Wanted something from MRP but those things are expensive

was actually aiming for bmc tmr02, but saved for a year still have not saved enough. I wonder where all my money go ......
Tmr02 seems to be more aggressive and it cost 1k more.
Time to reconsider haha.
