Would u get a branded frame with cheaper components and upgrade the components when u have the extra money in future?
Many ppl thinks that is easier to change the parts than change the whole frame which is true.

Or would u get a cheaper brand but decent review but with good components like dura clanks actually work very hard for u n its smooth n flawless shifter /derailer while u cycle than the decal that give u the saki or the legendary stiffness of sworks frame that saves u miligrams of energy?

Food for thoughts

You get a good frame that fits along with good components. I certainly would not buy the best frame that fits and get cheap components that I would then have to swap out. That's a waste of time, effort and money.

Don't know abt others but I not keen in paying extra for folding patents n high demand /Low supply of folding bikes.

I like bang for buck and I also like to make bicycle makers have a run for my money :(

Then don't go for folding bicycles. It will always be more expensive than similarly spec non folding bicycle.

ya i think so too, cos the frontal area is smaller

if geometry is the key, why dun just most manufacturer just make the "most efficient" geometry? becos there is no benefit in deliberately making lousy geometry (even if u are selling it cheaply):s22:

i mean for same types of bikes, example foldie.

anyway moi hate foldies, the only types that can support moi 100kg weight are those super expensive huans :s22:

as for stiffness i think this is the only difference between bicycles bah....

the rest of component can anyhow upgrade lolx

Depends what they want to achieve with the bike too, I guess! Some sport fork rake angles that are more aggressive or have shorter wheelbases for tighter turning radius. Some have longer wheelbase for nicer cruising. Some also just want to be "special".

Then some also spec a long and low geometry that looks nice and aggressive, but majority of folks cannot tahan that kind of reach and end up using 40mm spacers (assuming road bike) just to be comfy on it, for a bike that's supposed to be their size.

Went for a ride via PCN this evening. Came across this cyclist infront of me who almost crush into a couple who is chatting away on the PCN while strolling and not paying attention to incoming traffic. Luckily, he manage to maneuver the bike and brush across them. Despite that, the uncle curse and swear at the cyclist, really jin cham.

Sometime I don't understand why these people like to walk on PCN when the pedestrian walkway is just beside it. If really suay suay crush into them, whose fault is it?

Without knowing more about what happened, the cyclist would be at fault. Why? You're operating a faster vehicle and the assumption would be that you should have been more alert and careful.

This is one reason why I don't ride on PCNs, it's too dangerous. A lot of cyclists are n00bs/turkeys and they go way too fast. Then, they have to share a narrow pathway with corners and poor lighting with users who are doing all sorts of things. Recipe for disaster.

Someone just related a very recent story of a guy who went over his handlebars while trying to avoid a young child running on the ECP PCN. Whole face was smashed in and he lost three upper teeth. His upper lip is now pulled up as in a cleft lip and now looking for his insurance co to cover surgery. He has already paid out thousands.

That's the reason why pcn also have speed limit of 15km/h.

And it would probably be the cyclist's fault as he is on a faster vehicle. Just like when we cycle on the roads, the TP will always penalise the driver also.

Yeah. I might get a Tern sticker to mask it over? :o

Its so obvious that its not a tern bicycle. :s13:

Even if you go stickerbee to make decals and stickers, the handlepost will still give you away. :s13:

Just ride your own bicycle la. No need to be a pretender.
