Have been using the front light for sometime liao. Some bros here have seen it during the edmw rides and had commented that it is very bright despite its smallish size. I mostly use it in blinking mode other than hitting sudden unexpected unlit patch mid ride, then I turn it onto constant mode.

yea, ard the same usage also. :D

For the rear light, I strongly recommend this:

How come you chose to sold it away?

Good question...The mount wasnt suitable for my seatpost(Lazy to get another mount), not able to clip onto my topeak wedge pack so sold it off and went over to infini which serves the purpose..

If you're keen, should get it..It's actually pretty good..The blink mode is irritating.. :s13:

I was planning to get that but I managed to get the seatpost mount for my Cherry Bomb 1W.

Cherry Bomb quite similar to the Turbo.

Seems like the mounting system for most of the brands not very good.

This Planetbike mount is clip on(Lights clip to the mount) so i have to cable tie and secure it to the mount in case of hitting bumps and the lights dropping off..Did happen a few times when i was it on my escooter before i got my bicycle..

Looking for a MTB with low budget

Hello,

I am looking to buy a new mountain bike to cycle to school (around 3.3km distance) and back home everyday, and also the occasional road cycling of longer distances during weekends. Budget is around $250 (max $300), preferably below.

Does anybody have any recommendations of which bicycles are good at this budget? Which bike shops should I visit that can cater to my budget and needs?

Also, do V brakes and disc brakes have significant differences in the whole cycling experience?

Very new to this, so please pardon my ignorance.

V n disc brakes got difference. But for your budget and purposes, just stick with v will suffice.

highly recommended bicycle lights. $30 rrp per light. think some shops sell cheaper. headlight is super bright and has long runtime in flashing mode (12hrs). micro usb recharging. water resistant also.

I can only recommend the tail light.

The front light is certainly not bright enough to illuminate the dark stretches along Punggol and Lor Halus.

Don't waste time with those lights, there are only one light I used for my road and mtb.

Exposure. I have exposure Axis, joystick, TraceR. Best and brightest light you ever need. A bit expensive but its worth every dollar.

for "lights to be seen", this one is more than bright enough. for lights to see with, this is a safety light, not a headlight, but for a safety light, I find that its ok as the beam is not as spread out as a safety light yet not as concentrated as a headlight.

Well, I need a spreader and a thrower. Hopefully, I just need to bring one head light out rather than bringing so many different torch light.

Battery life is also an important consideration. These small USB lights can only last <3 hours in high mode. Totally inadequate if you cycle at Punggol ends on weekday nights cuz sometimes the lights are not switched one at all.

I lost count of the number of times I was requested to help some stranded cyclists who do not have bright enough lights. Need to high beam around to help them see properly.

I used to mount one light (Infini Lava) on my helmet. But decided not to cuz its distracting and don't really help with the illumination.
