Hi apparatus,

Yes. I'm requesting from Japan product division if there's any plan over firmware updating possibilities in Digital Sound Projector models for the 4K2K 50/60Hz support.

But i do want to share with you that if they do not have any decision or decide not to disclose for now, there is also nothing that we can advice you on this matter. Please understand bro.

Also, one thing you can rest assure of is, YSP-3300/4300 just launched for less then a year and there is no plans for next year 2014 something to take-over these 2 models.

Will keep you posted again once i have the info.

Cheers!

FYI, not all HDMI devices with firmware 1.4 can be upgraded to full 2.0 and that's because of the hardware circuitry inside it. However, recent devices like your YSP-3300 stands a higher chance of being able to be upgraded.

I hope so. Meantime I'll just hang on and not buying any Yahama soundbar.....at the same time looking at other products leow.

Hi YamahaSG, I'm planning to change my current 5.1 system to YSP4300 as I'm tired of the messy cables. However, I had quite a big living room which is about 6m in width (windows at one side and wall on another. My sitting distance is about 4m away from TV and main speakers. Will the sound projector able to project decent enough sound with this room size?

Hi Apparatus,

Thanks for the info. Apparently we haven't got the answer. If you need to find others, please do so. We have to try luck to find out if the possibilities of the internal IC can be upgraded over firmware on the two new models of Digital Sound Projector.

Have a great xmas!

Merry Christmas to you and all in the forums.

I had sent my floorplan to you so appreciate if you can have a look at it. My TV and AV systems are at the top north of the living room

Hi,

You can audition them in our retail store at Marina Square. We have YSP-3300 on demo.

As of now, i don't think HDMI versions can be update over firmware updating. I suppose you are looking at the 4K feature in HDMI 2.0. As you know, current 4K products in market are all 4K with 24p which the true 4K should be in 50Hz/60Hz. But if there is such updates, we will announce in our website.

Cheers!

ok just came back from there. My verdict is that the ysp3300 only offers surround L/R and not back surround. BTW, the salesman was playing Pearl Harbour movie but the soundbar was facing outwards so can't feel anything coming from my back since it's open without a wall. You think your sound bar can replicate back surround if there's a back wall like in the living room using the sound beam to hit the back wall and reflects to me? Is there such a mode or settings to achieve this?

How about any ysp3300 in Yamaha showroom itself? Outside showrooms like at Jurong Point and Marina Sq are not even up to household requirements

Hi bro,

May i know which Marina Square showroom you went to? I doubt based on what you mentioned, you didn't went to my showroom because our showroom has 4 walls (1 Concrete wall, 1 False Wall, 2 x Glass wall).

What household requirements do you need? Do you mind to share your floorplan by sending us a email at yamahasg.ymasia@gmail.com?

Cheers!

HN lah.

As for household requirements it's just a standard HDB hall with 3 walls and 1 with windows & door (along corridor). My hall is 6m length x 4.7m width.

Hi, whats are the current offer for RX-V series?

Hi, there is no promo for RX-V75 Series AV receivers. There's many packages promo with Speakers in our retailers such as Best Denki, Courts and Harvey Norman.

Cheers!
