Thank you for your reply Yamaha. I'll definitely ask the sales person to give me but sometimes you know how hard to get this kind of things especially the sales is done.

Anyway, whether I get from him or not, I'll keep the receipt well.

Btw, for the other cards that I have, do I need to send by mail or can I do online registration?

Hi santa74,

May i know where you made the purchase of this Yamaha set?

As for other Warranty Application Forms you have, i'm afraid you might need to fill up and mail to us. I suggest you to mail together once you receive that outstanding warranty form from the salesperson.

Cheers!

Hi,

I have a ysp 2200 and an iPhone docking station connected to it. Apple now changes its docking connection to lightning connector, does yamaha sells adapter to convert and my iPhone 5S can use the docking station?

Hi!

You can consider Apple accessories to do that.

Check this.

Cheers!

Hi,

I bought this set from Courts (Orchard) outlets. The sales man said it takes 1-2 weeks to reprint warranty card and he will call me once he received from Yamaha. I'll mail them once I have all.

Thanks :)

hi, on the spec page of ysp 2200 it says "yes" for DTS HD-MA however, on the features page, it only list DTS HD.

so i am confused over which one it supports.
on a side note, if a blu ray player does not support DTS HD-MA, will there be sound if i use a disc with DTS HD-MA?

Hi,

DTS-HD also means it supports both DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio.
Regarding your 2nd question, yes there'll be sound but it will only pick up the DTS signal instead of DTS-HD signals.

Cheers!

Need some help with Yamaha RX 371 5.1

Bought it for almost a year but it was very under utilize.

Hooted a lot of bluray recently, thus hoping someone can advise me so i can explore the full potential for this HT.

Till date, i only use 5ch stereo, and tuning up/down on the master volume nia. Is there anyway i can improve on the effects, and perhaps placement of the speakers if i wanted more "surround" effect.

Another qns regarding the ARC thingy. I connected my bluray player to the amplifier. But every time when i on the bluray player, by right the speaker should "auto" on and switch to 5ch stereo for BD/DVD, but instead, the speaker plays the TV volume instead, i had to switch off the speaker and on it then only it will be on the 5ch stereo, is this normal? Or my connection for the hdmi is thru the wrong port?

Appreciate if anyone can help out as im just a speaker noob who is trying to unleash the full potential for my HT, if any :)

TIA.

Hi!

First, you are using a wrong listening mode if you were to playback on a Blu-ray disc content. You can consider to use "Movies" mode or "Straight" mode instead of "5-Ch Stereo" mode. "5-Ch Stereo" is meant for music listening with all channels to sound identical same, for eg, CDs, MP3, etc.

Next, ARC problem. This is due to TV ARC Audio Settings that is not set properly to direct the audio into the AV Receiver. Give them a check on the owner's manual and it will helps you to resolve.

Lastly, maybe you can share some pics here to show your setup so i can share some info with you. :)

Cheers!

Hi, I just bought a htr-4066 from courts last friday and had it delivered to me on tues. When i was about to fill in the warranty card yesterday, I realised that it does not have the dealer stamp. However, I do have the invoice number with me.

Do I have to make a trip down to courts to get their stamp or I could skip it and just send the warranty to you guys straight?

YSP-3300

Hi Mr YahamaSG

I was at HN@Jurong Point this evening hearing out the YSP-3300. My verdict is that I can only hear loud sound blasting at me from the front despite different settings by the salesman there.

But according to Yahama it can replicate surround effect using its different modes and settings. You think anywhere I can get the right surround experience from the $2000+ soundbar?

Another thing is since all HDMI ports are spec to 1.4 for now will Yamaha provide a firmware upgrade to spec 2.0 say next year when 2.0 is being widely implemented?

Can convince me to buy the YSP-3300?

Thanks

Hi, you can just mail in to us. Keep the invoice safe for warranty verification purposes just in case. Cheers!

Hi,

You can audition them in our retail store at Marina Square. We have YSP-3300 on demo.

As of now, i don't think HDMI versions can be update over firmware updating. I suppose you are looking at the 4K feature in HDMI 2.0. As you know, current 4K products in market are all 4K with 24p which the true 4K should be in 50Hz/60Hz. But if there is such updates, we will announce in our website.

Cheers!

For the 2nd point if tv manufacturers can make their stand on the upgrade path for HDMI 2.0 why not the manufacturers of music equipment?

HDMI 2.0 upgrade path: Where do the manufacturers stand? - AsiaOne Forum

If I buy the 3300 now and 2 months later (next year) a new Yamaha model is released with HDMI 2.0 spec then how? I'll faint you know if no firmware upgrade is to be provided for the existing model.

Don't you think checking with your HQ whether such a firmware will be made available to buyers would be better than waiting for an announcement to be made on your website?

Can help by doing so and then feedback here? This can help in my buying decision now.

Thanks

Hi YamahaSG,

I got the RXA3030 recently (local unit - warranty already registered), and facing this weird problem with FLAC streaming. It works perfectly for 3-4 weeks, then intermittently the streamed files I can hear random "pop" or "click". Done quite a bit of troubleshooting, and not a source file problem, seems to be due to the AVR. The same file played using FooBar2000 via HDMI is absolutely clean. Seems like problem with the streaming software inside AVR. Neither a network issue, the switch connecting AVR to PC is a gigabit switch, only 1 hop. Tried with (enhancer=off) result in lesser random pop/click.

The workaround is to hard reset (Initialize ALL), reload the config, and problem goes away. Comes back again after 3-4 weeks. I have submitted a support question to the Yamaha SG website, but no response for 2 weeks already. Can you help advise if the problem is with the unit, or software bug that needs firmware updating? Or PM me a contact person in Yamaha to work this out.

Thanks!

Hi apparatus,

Yes. I'm requesting from Japan product division if there's any plan over firmware updating possibilities in Digital Sound Projector models for the 4K2K 50/60Hz support.

But i do want to share with you that if they do not have any decision or decide not to disclose for now, there is also nothing that we can advice you on this matter. Please understand bro.

Also, one thing you can rest assure of is, YSP-3300/4300 just launched for less then a year and there is no plans for next year 2014 something to take-over these 2 models.

Will keep you posted again once i have the info.

Cheers!

Hi bro,

A few things i need from you to help you.

1. When you mentioned "streamed files", can i have more details of how you streamed? Over what app? In mobile device? or PC Foorbar streaming?

2. Can you check your firmware version and let me know?

3. May i have your serial number and purchased from which dealer?

You may wish to pm me all these details ya?

Cheers!
