So I'll wait for that to be released and i'll go test it

TV screen blackout when tuning volume up/down on RX-V473

Just bought and hooked up the RX-V473 to replace an old Onkyo receiver. All connection via HDMI.

When I watch Starhup, TV screen will black out every time I turn the volume up down no matter via the round knob on the receiver, the remote control or via the IPad apps. This happen only to Starhup, there is no such blackout during volume adj while watching DVD, Mio TV or computer. I tried changing using diff input port (ie, HDMI 1 to 4), tried changing HDMI cables but no effect.

The momentary blackout happens only with Starhub and screen resume in a while after volume adj is done. There was no such blackout with the old Onkyo.

Can any kind soul help with this weird problem?

Called a few dealers - they do not carry the A820 but have the A810. And both are the same price (they quoted the A810 as $1499).

Standby Pass through

Hi Alex,

I just bought RX V373 AV Amp from courts last week. Just want to check if this model able to do power standby HDMI pass through? Is there any option on the setting?

One more is I put all 5 of the speakers in front, facing same direction as the TV, I experience a bit of unclarity when I hear dialogue from movie, is this because of the arrangement?

Hi Dani,

Thank you for your purchase in Courts.

1.RX-V373 does not support HDMI Pass-Through feature.

2.Nope. Dialogue from the movie, the audio channel came from the Center Speaker. Hence, you can try improving the GEQ settings in RX-V373 under Setup - Speaker Settings.
If you place everything in the front means you missed the Surround effects from the movie while it has nothing to do with the Center dialogue channel.

I wanted some advice on this configuration. Is this OK and supported configuration and will not harm my AVR or speakers . Do I have to change the SP impedance setting to 6Ohm min.

You can keep it at 8ohms that's fine.

I love jazz, instrumental and vocal music type...basically those that can enjoy and relax. Any product to recommend for a start? Too many choices out there

May i know what do you mean by HT-bypass mode?
Were you referring to "Pure Direct" function in our AV Receivers?

Regards to A-S2000, at the moment there is no replacement models yet.

From i know, this function mode is at the amplifier, not at the receiver. Does any yamaha int. amplifier has this mode?

Marant model: PM-11S3 have this and it is called "power amp direct".
I can't be buying the A-S500, which defeat the purpose.
Can u eleborate what u meant ?
Not going to have replacement in the long run / or coming soon, but no yet launch ?

Hi Raymond,

I guessed i know what you meant. Correct me if i'm wrong.
You would like to use RX-A2010 Pre-Out FL & FR to a external Power Amp [Which is the Marantz PM-11S3].

In this case, you can set the Power Amp mode in the "Power Amp Assign" settings, called "5ch + FRONT + 2 Zone". This will allows you to output the FL & FR to a External Power Amp such as Marantz PM-11S3 and use the RX-A2010 internal amp to drive to CTR, SL, SR and even Zone2 Speakers. In owner's manual Pg.104, you can refer Page 104 & 23 on how-to-do it.

As for A-S2000, there is no taking over model plans or replacement models. Means entirely discontinued. A-S500 is not a right comparison model against PM-11S3 like you said, that's right. Will PM you something.

Let me know if you have problems still.
