Yamaha YHT-S401 Firmware Update

Hi

Jus got mine today and learnt the latest firmware update is available.

Any helpful peoples can teach me how to update and any inputs is very much appreciated.

Hi, I have a sound bar YSP-2200, I am wondering is there any accessory allows me to connect my computer or phone to it by bluetooth?

I found there is receiver YBA-10, but did not found it on singapore yamaha website.

Do you have this receiver in stock? any alternative option i could try? thank you.

I wonder anybody can help me on this issue.

Yamaha ARC out - Pana TV (HDMI 2 label ARC)
Yamaha HDMI(1) IN - StarHub Box
Yamaha HDMI(2) IN - Samsung Blue ray

Yamaha HDMI control "ON" and Pana TV viera link "ON".

When TV turn off, samsung BD & Yamaha also power off.

TV turn 'ON" Samsung BD on but not YAMAHA. (no issue can live with it.

My issue is when turn TV ON watch channel there is no sound form YAMAHA xxcept TV. YAMAHA display shown TV - ARC input

I need Yamaha remote to toggle OFF & ON HDMI control to get the sound.

This happen when TV turn off. Yamaha firmware latest version (7.04)

Hi Yamaha

I've been researching a bit about AVR, and still trying to decide on which one to get. Yamaha caught my attention cos the RX-V673 was awarded by What Hifi as the 2012 AVR Of The Year, congrats on that.

I have these requirements:
Fairly large living room 8m x 6m, and opens up to the dining and kitchen, like an open concept.
Main AV set up will be at the living room, and I plan to pipe music to the dining and kitchen via in ceiling speakers, so multi channel is required for the AVR.
AirPlay and wifi is preferred.
I also need to have the option for future expansion for connection into turntable and other amps, so I need pre amp output and phono.
And until I do that, the sound quality for music must be quite good, which I think the Yamaha is.
I think the V673 may meet my requirements, but I'm not entirely sure, plus the's the option of the Aventage series. Also is there higher ranges in the Vx73 series, like 873?

Love to hear your advice.

Thank you for considering the V673.

In your case of usage, to consider future additional source such as Turntable, you might have to only consider the AVENTAGE Series. As only AVENTAGE series will have Phono Inputs.
In Singapore, for V Series, we only have up to RX-V673. Nothing more then that. And V673 doesn't supports Phono Input for Turntable usage.

As much as I prefer 4300 or 3300 but beyond my budget of $2600 below.

I audition both at the showroom and my liking towards 4300 expansive
soundstage and surround effects are very impressive and bass are very
well control and lastly my favorite with FM tuner.

I've not audition the 2200 but finally got the 401 a little below $900. It's the flagship model for front surround system (2.1). It's an ideal for smaller room and stereo music are good, guitar and percussion instruments are vividly and
focus, voice are clear & subtle. Bass are tight and rounded to my liking.

This is my honest opnion and you will never regret on buying any model you'd listed.
