Cheaper to get from Ebay? I checked before. After adding the shipment etc, probably add up to 1.4SGD. You have source that can get at 1.3SGD after adding the shipment?

If get from ebay, can still get the 3rd year extended warranty in SG?

wait last day :)

First time buying during IT show. How does the economics around the IT show period work?
Would the IT show price - $1398 remain even after the end of the show? Or would the price go back up to $1698 again?

BTW the free stuffs are :
Trend Micro Internet Security + ASUS External Optical Drive + Notebook Bag & Optical Mouse

Not really impressive freebies. Would have appreciated an upgrade to 8 GB ram for some small money instead :D.

Also, Any ASUS salesperson around? Would like to get some clarifications around the Hard Drive specs and upgrade options.

I have a question. I am thinking of getting a monitor to use with this notebook. would the M310 have any restriction on performance when I run a external monitor? Eg, game performance, resolution etc.

One more question. Is it more battery saving to work with a mouse that operate with RF or Bluetooth?

frm my experience.. it will only go down instead of climbing up.

Disturbing!? What application were u running? I read review that it do get hot if you are running intensive program but thats all. Fan vibration is new to me.

i only get to play with it at courts.

screen display is good, not great. about 7/10 compared to 10/10 macbook pro (not a apple fan but i find their display best)
vibration can be felt by 2 hands placing lightly on the keyboard, i believe is the fan, not hdd. if u do alot of typing, might not feel good.
heat wise, quite hot compared to the others, around 35 degrees.

above is observed with just bulk applications.

build quality wise is awesome, sturdy, robust feel. i like the design best of all laptops brands after macbook pro. very slim, sexy, nano coating (duno wat is it all abt).

Thats funny. I tried a couple of set at Funan. It is a bit warm but not to the extend of it being hot. I tried typing seriously. Went thru all the 26 letter, tried the shift key, enter etc. Dun really feel the vibration. Hm..... think better to try it out again keeping in mind what you have said before heading to the IT Fair.

Ya MBA screen is definitely better but for the spec, I am not really willing to pay 1.7k for it. If it is 1.4k. Ya I will go for it.

apologies. maybe hot is abit harsh. but yes, warmer den others, maybe becoz of the tradeoff for thinness. i'll try off other sets on the vibration.
