Bro @xiaofan is the BE86u still as good as the previous gundam 86u? I still like that 86 series. If you do not mind no local warranty, then Asus China version is much cheaper at RMB 2049 (plus shipment and GST)

Other forum is reporting ASUS router malware, one of them had 100% CPU usage on 1 core. Although only reported on AC and AX routers, might affect newer routers as well.
There are fixes in the latest firmware. Do keep your firmware updated.

Just carry out another check to confirm the Asus China model has exactly the same FW as Asus Singapore model (Global model).
From the SHA256 checksum, we can see the firmware file is exactly the same.

Asus router malware issue has been reported.
Better to disable AIcloud for now (I am not using this feature myself) and check for Asus FW updates.
I have upgraded my Asus RT-AX86U running Asus Merlin FW.

Thanks for the heads-up. This was also mentioned by another forum member whose RT-AX86U was damaged by the malware.

Asus has not released the FW fix for RT-AX86U yet. Merlin has the fixed FW released for Asus WiFi 6 router supported by Merlin, including RT-AX86U. My RT-AX86U is running as an AP after OpenWRT router. But I will upgrade to new Merlin FW over the weekend.

Did you change the default name and password ? If not, check the bottom of the router for the default credentials. Else, you need to make sure there is definitely no typo on your part.anyone know what is the issue with Asus Router GUI where they keep saying username or password is wrong.
I just did a RMA with the Avertek and the problem still persists
Yup, there is no typo on my part.Did you change the default name and password ? If not, check the bottom of the router for the default credentials. Else, you need to make sure there is definitely no typo on your part.
You just got a replacement right ? Unlikely the new unit will have the same exact problem.Yup, there is no typo on my part.
I suspect there is some settings on the router or my pc causing the problem...

Think my ax 11000 pro just died. MyRepublic set. No wifi and lan connection, did hard reset also.
Yes correct. I am going to Asus service Center in Kallang now. Hope can do 1-1 exchange smoothly. MyRepublic sent me my invoice and told me to proceed, also called the Asus service Center they said no need appointment.Since this is local set you should be able to get a new replacement set since it should be within 3 years warranty period.
You may want to contact MyRepublic first and then see if you need to get replacement from MR or Asus Singapore.
