I also ordered one. Bloody hell, everywhere you go, this tablet is not displayed or selling.

I was on Amazon last week or so and it is not under FSSG. This week it is, so hoot ah!

Does the amazon global saver have any time limit or offer period?

Sorry, never buy from Amazon before...

I saw Asus HD 7 at Gain city Marina Square... I was impressed with the display and sound... and it is very light compared to my Tab 2 7'.... and I am very tempted by the amazon offer......

The Amazon Global Saver was introduced this year as a free shipping option if your order meets certain criteria such as the items purchased must be sold and shipped by amazon, not too heavy or bulky and a minimum purchase of at least US$125. There is no news that this Amazon Global Saver would be discontinued.

As for the Asus MemoPad HD7 discounted price of US$129, it may change at any time. It is a nice saving compared to the Singapore pricing but take note that the Amazon sold set seems to only come with 1 year North America Warranty only and may not come with Singapore or International warranty.

It is however still a good price

Hi Bro

Thanks for sharing..... This is a very good price, and prices in SG are really bad... and is pretty bad compared to US... maybe it is because of volume issue?

I am concern about the warranty, but at $160.... it is worth a shot.... I read amazon and I think Asus usually do not have so many problem... but buying electronics is really about luck too.....

Price difference of $90 is a lot to ignore.... and I am quite sold on this...

I think even if you wait for a few months, you can never buy this in sg at $160......... so must act fast before the promo is closed.....

Very true. Just too the plunge and placed an order for it with the transcover.

Initially I was waiting for the HP Slate 7 Extreme but that is like double the price for a slightly faster CPU. Like you say, the amazon price for the asus hd 7 is just too tempting to ignore.

Congrat Bro....

Personally, I have no confidence in HP. I had a HP net book, and the net book LCD have problems after 1 years, and the warranty period was already over....

I bought an Asus XF23 note book.... and after 2.8 yrs of service, it is still running strong.... and no problem at all and it would have continued service if I have not signed the Starhub fiber plan with Toshiba Notebook.... U40... with i5 4200 haswell processor and touch screen LCD.....

Did you get a screen protector? Read this one need it as the screen surface is more plastic than glass... and need the extra protection......

I am very tempted by the Yoga tablet too........

Thanks. I did not get the screen protector because I have never been successful in applying screen protector. Besides, since I am getting the Transcover, I believe that should give it enough protection.

OIC.... ok.. just be more careful as plastic is not as resistance to scratches as glass...

from my point of view, it would be better to get an anti-fingerprint screen protector. fingerprints are the biggest problems for HD 7 but maybe you do not mind a fingerprint 'infested' screen.

I bought the hd7 for my mum who is more used to using a stylus but will probably look for a shop which sells screen protector in singapore who is willing to apply it for me as I have never been successful in applying screen protectors even if it was for a smallish screen like that of my cameras. It is always misaligned, has dust particles and air bubbles.

OIC... I also tried applying a screen protector for my laptop.... and was not too bad... must clean the surface very clean, and make sure no dust caught inside. Once inside, hard to clear....

I am sure you can get those shop to do for you if you have no confidence.... :)

Darn! This always happened to me. The day after I buy something, the price would always dropped further. Oh well! That's just my fate.

Update : Just got a $10 refund :) cool!
