So how? Have you received your laptop from the Microsoft store? Would be interested to know what your final cost was.

i didn't get from microsoft store in the end. They didn't accept my payment, and wasn't able to get vpost to buy for me either as microsoft store is one of their restricted merchants, and by then the device was out of stock. I was informed by another forummer that it is back in stock.

anyway, i bought from amazon at US705. Total costs (exchange rate of 1.38) after shipping and tax is slightly less than $1100. This is for the 8G ram, 256G SSD version. I think still worth it. If someone can find a way to buy from microsoft store, it'll be even more worth it!

Yeah... $1100 is very worth while too... it's only $191 more than the model I bought... double memory and double storage.

hi jmktay, as i mentioned in my pm to you, i bought it. what i didnt say was that i managed to get it thru the Microsoft store. i didnt mention it as i didnt want to make you feel "tui" since you've taken the plunge on Amazon, hope you understand :) The RRP was USD699 but they provided a discount code so the final price was USD 599. This is for the 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD model. Am not sure if i took the last one as it now says that it is out of stock. I managed to get thru the payment section using my wife's Paypal account, again, not sure how that happened! I am using CGW as my forwarded so hopefully i will get it in 2 weeks. Will update again on the exact cost.

I hope so too... but would you care to enumerate your experience with them? What made the experience so poor that you had to post here without any substantiation?

you can search my previous posts on them, i concur with the fellas that the service center here is about the worst I have ever come across...

although I like Asus products I've stopped recommending them to others

the UX305 is a great notebook though, just try not to end up at the service center.

I actually tried both paypal and a sg issued credit card, but for some reason both didn't work for me.

When you go to Device Manager and click on Disk Drive , the part number will pop-up.

For the 128gb SSD version , is stated as Micron_M600_MTFDDAV128MBF

For the 256gb SSD version , is stated as ScaDisk SD7SN3Q256G1002

anyone has problems with the battery life? i lowered to 1920x1080 but the battery indicator shows 65% for 1hr 55min, then 64% estimated 2hr 19min only use for light surfing. i noticed the battery life also flactuates and seems inaccurate

Seems like a fine laptop.
Anyone can comment about the processor and the battery life? Its powered but intel core M while I read might be slower.
