Got i5 8gb 256ssd. Bought home 2 hour kapoh. First screen blinking. After a while cannot boot up. Quickly went back on the same day to do a one to one exchange. If wait till the next day will have to go to service center.

Found out that the set was 'old but new set'. Manufactured in Oct 2015. My exchanged new set is made in Feb 2016.

pulled the trigger and got the base model of the UX305CA. The one with core M processor and 4gb ram at the IT show at $828. Not sure if it is a good deal but bought it already. Would have bought the one with 8gb ram, 256gb ssd and core i5 but it is much bulkier and it doesn't come in the obsidian stone color.

Off topic but kinda important: Anyone has any idea what kind of light gaming can I handle on this core M processor? I know definitely cannot play CSGO caliber but I'm thinking like maybe can play diablo 2 that kind of tier games. Any feedback?

within 7 days can do 1-for-1 exchange. How do you check the date of manufacturing?

Did a run on torchlight 2 and it was running smoothly at 1920x1080 resolution.

The Skylake UX305CA comes in m3, m5, m7, i3, i5 and i7 processor configurations.

Has anyone managed to buy the m7 configuration? How is the performance like? I only see m3 and m5 configs in most retail stores.

Do you guys remove the free mcafee anti-virus it came with? Will other antivirus titles be better than this? What's your suggestion?

And how do you guys remove all the bloatwares and stuff? My 128bg ssd already has 48gb of used space.

since mcafee is free just use..

Others like FOXIT PDF, WPS office, all can remove. just go to control panel--> uninstall programs to remove.
