I know this has been asked before but it appears there's no definitive answer yet.
Does simply disabling the DHCP equates to setting the router to bridge mode (without double NAT) in this instance?
Should I uncheck the NAT & Fullcone NAT checkboxes under Advanced Setup->WAN?
Also what should the following settings be (X = my current setup)?
X Enable Public IP Pass Through
Enable UPnP
X Enable IGMP Snooping
Standard Mode
X Blocking Mode
You meant you want to use it as an access point?
If so, just disable the DHCP will do. This router can work as AP but its not officially supported by Singtel.
Sorry, I have not tried it before, hence not sure if I can help.Hey thanks for your reply.
Just to clarify, my setup is as follows:
ONT -> DSL7002 (192.168.1.254) -> Asus N56U (192.168.88.1)
- DSL7002 is connected to Mio Voice & MioTV
- Asus N56U is connected to NAS and home network (all 192.168.88.x)
Surprisingly internet works even though the two routers are on different subnets.
In this case, I'll probably need to set the DSL7002 to 192.168.88.254 (my home subnet) before disabling its DHCP right? I tried disabling DHCP when it's at 192.168.1.254 but my entire home network ended up not being able to access the internet.
If indeed this is the case, I should only need to do all the port forwarding in my Asus router right? 'Cause I am currently unable to access my home network resources externally.
P.S. Was on PACE 5012NV previously which I could simply enable "bridge mode" in order for my Asus to take care of routing while the PACE takes care of the MIO services.

But I don't think there is a bridge mode option in 7002
Btw, how about running N56 as bridge mode (as AP?)
Alright no worries just one other question: any issues if the DSL7002 is set to another local IP other than 192.168.1.254?
Yes, you can. Go to Home Network Configuration. Its under LAN Setup. You will see the IP Address: 192.168.1.254 and subnet: 255.255.255.0
Thats where you change the local IP.

One question: I have had my 7002 since last October, only for internet (no voice or mio TV), and experienced no problems. Since last week the 5G network suddenly "goes off" after about 10 - 20 MB download (photos). Each time I have to reboot the router to get it working again. The 7002 is currently running on firmware 1-010 which should be the latest version.Anyone facing any problems with 7002 router? If so, feel free to feedback.
Just to clarify that I am a Singtel technician. Just hoping to help out some HWZ folks. This is entirely my own capacity and has nothing to do with Singtel. It just happens that I know the folks in charge of router dept so I could try to replicate the issues in test lab and highlight to them.
I am also using 7002 at home. I believe it will benefit all of us.
Re-contracted & upgraded to 500Mbps (from 200Mbps) yesterday at Singtelshop and I opted out of this piece of junk.![]()

Any possible suggestion what causes this abrupt network shutdown?
So what did you get?

From ST ? Nothing. It's free omission so they benefit ($-wise) from it
I'm only interested in the 200->500Mbps upgrade + 2mths free + $200 mobile discount + Mobile Broadband SIM card that are part of the bundle.
I've already moved away from consumer routers for quite a while as they are all very limited in capabilities. Currently using a MikroTik RB951G-2HnD and planning to get the 9-core Cloud Core Router later this month.
