If the box is fine, then you can't really blame the shop since the staff might not know.

Good luck getting a refund though. It will not be easy to convince the shop that the manufacturer would ship out a case like that.

Mystery aside, did Fractal Design begin cutting corner on structure panel thickness? Wasn't their chassis panel thick and heavy like their original series?

Someone/somehere is out to trouble a customer. The case is obvious damaged before being placed into the carton box.

If you stay East side. Maybe nearer to exchange at Convergent Systems

most probably caused by during loading into the container before shipping.

was the styro broken ?

Yeah, this was the first question I had too, when TS mentioned the box wasn't dented at all. The internal styrofoam packaging support is damn thick and quite snug. If it is also intact, then that means the casing was already damaged prior to being placed inside.

When I was handling the R5 a few months back, the metal/steel used is definitely very sturdy and solid. It cant be bend easily.

This is high chance that it was already damaged before packing in. And it require a lot more force to bend it.

High chance if this were auto packed by machines, it could be damaged by machines.

This is the first time I see such things happen.
