lol talk about simi culture/tradition, most real tiongs i spoke to don't even know smlj ish bak kwa until they landed on this sunny island

even bch expand to tiongland market their product as exotic/foreign food...

bakkwa is heavily charred, high in sugar and sodium, its considered carcinogenic too. i mean eat a little is fine but dont go out of the way to get it especially when price is so inflatted and i'm saying this even when i'm a really big bakkwa fan.

Personally i like to give kums. Cheaper + healthier. Won't spike blood sugar too bad (proven with blood glucose measurement), prediabetic also can eat (just don't go more than 1pc daily....maybe 2 also doable).

How to best heat up at home?

according to the friendly uncle, microwave for awhile.... wrap with bread is the best

No...when your rice cooker lights come up....put a slice on top of the hot rice and cover back....3mins later ....woo lala the bak kwa melt

Last time I use lowest heat, microwave. Cover it as well, 2 plates. Bak kwa really need to heat up a bit one.....

But past few years don't eat already, don't really like any black/chow tar foodstuff (PAHs).

if u know the profit margin, u will know why so many jhk selling durians..... the rental they pay is alot but they can more than cover it by selling one shipment
