Note that if you are taking grab, the waiting time can be as long as 30 minutes , despite the map showing 5 to 10 minutes to reach your place.

It’s not about the negotiating deal. Any price you willing to pay is a deal. What I meant is that the hotel is not to far from place like central world, platinum etc. But with the 2 elderly staying inside the Soi you will still end up spending quite some time on transportation. Your tuk tuk is not a motorcy traffic jam you still get stuck inside it. Unless you dare to each take a motorcy then it’s different.

I actually ask one of my friend who told me she stayed at the hotel before. She recommend us to take Tuk Tuk if jam because can navigate through the jam. I doubt I will have issues with negotiating prices. My mom knows how to bargain in both Thai and English and she's very good at making fair deals where both side is happy. I'm still learning this skill from her...

The 2 eldest are normally early risers so we can go out early and try to come back during the more rush hour periods. I think that's the only solution. Or we can wait out by doing more shopping or get a short massage.

Anyway, besides their walking speed, everything about them make them great traveling companions. They are very "go with the flow people" haha. If they cannot walk they will ask me to drop them off at a nearby cafe then we meet up again later.

Actually below 60, they are not that old. Sure no problem with walking around and explore. Important is to have enough rest and end of the day, a leg massage.

Chatuchak and Pratunam are very big, you can stop to have a rest and a drink any time you like.

I don't go for good food, I just eat any where I like, sometimes very local street stall, or food court. Pratunam got lots of food choice.
Chatuchak open at 8am, but not all stalls open so early. You can reach there around 10am, walk around, near noon can eat some food there. After that, if tired, can have leg massage there. You can continue or go to other places.

Or Tor Kor is just oppsite Chatuchak, walk through the MRT underpass.

How about interchange Saturday and Sunday schedule, go CTC on Sunday instead. This way u can go early for breakfast at or tor kor as well let ur mum buy the fresh produce so no need purposely go there again on Monday morning.

Actually I decided not to go to Or Tor Kor to buy the produce anymore. Most likely on Monday we will just go to a nearby local market and buy the fresh produce there.

Or tor kor still a good place to buy a great variety of pastes for Thai cooking. Maybe the morning before go CTC, can cross over for your mum to look see. In the end you would be the one get to enjoy sedap cuisine at home aftewhich. Thanks me later LOL

A lot of people told me that but knowing my mom, she will probably need at least 1 or 2 bags of those Thai Plastic Bags (the giant ones) minimum haha. Last time we went back to Chiang Rai in 2015, we had 4. We had to negotiate with her to not bring back some bags of rice from our family home haha.

moi agree....or juz go or kor tor for bf lor...there the food mani and nice.....then if you wanna buy paste oso can lar...but the tings there more ex compare to outside de....but quality tings lar...gd stuff.....after bf and a short walk at or kor tor liao then cross to CTC lor....
