If you’re calling the credit card dept up, you need to call a separate number (1800 338 5335). I’ve always gotten a local when I dial this dept.

The accounts dept (1800 669 5566) is almost always a CSO in China.

never once did i get a local to attend to my calls in the credit card dept... on many occasions the foreigners who answered has difficulty understanding simple english, in the end have to speak chinese to them...

very fustrating to explain coz some words has got no chinese name (e.g. paywave) they are always trying very hard to understand, i think this job is not suitable for them...

Newbie here.

How do you deposit the foreign currencies into the account? Over the counter at the bank? Any fees to withdraw via ATMs overseas?

I suppose RMB withdrawal at BOC ATMs in China and RMB payment via the UP Debit Card is free?

Anyone can advise?

Hi guys, i just got the new zaobao credit card. I know I have to go to the branch to link my zaobao credit card to the BOC Smart Saver account to get the card spending benefits with the Smartsaver account. Question is whether the supplementary card (in my wife's name but supplemental yo my main zaobao card) will automatically be linked to my BOC Smartsaver. So say if I don't spend any money on my card but my wife spends 1500 on the supplemenary card, will I get the additional interests on my BOC Smartsaver account?

I don't think I went to the branch to link my family credit card to the BOC Smart Saver. Supp card usage will count as the main cardholder.

The linkage is for the Zaobao card to appear in internet banking and not linking to the BOC SmartSaver account

Anyone know what token sequence to key in when doing fund transfer?

Do I need to key in the full sequence of number (include decimals?) indicated in the message box or just the last 8 digits of the account num?

Their token explantion is damn confusing!

Key in the entire sequence as shown on internet banking. Seems to be part of account number followed by amount with the decimal point

There are several parts involving fund transfer, like add payee, increase transfer limit and simply fund transfer to existing payee. I just made a transfer last night but can't remember what I key :)
Usually add payee and fund transfer will key last few digits of recipient ac no. Increase limit need to key amount. These are setup type of transaction so need extra step as Signature that need to press SIGN button and key in related info. Sometimes key in opt from sms.

Now I roughly remember I only press the OTP and just key in OTP for transfer to existing payee.

End of month = base interest

The rest of the interest (Salary Credit, Payment, Card Spent, Extra) are spelt out and given as separate transactions
