Got it. Thanks a ton.

In that case, when you say the optimum balance is S$50K-60K, do you actually mean maximum S$60K but any amount below, subject to meeting salary credit, bill pay, and credit card spend?

Apologies, but I guess I am unable to understand why S$50K and above. Your other response that S$50K is the optimum amount in DBS Multiplier makes sense to me because that is the maximum amount on which the bonus interest is paid.

Corollary to my question would be: if I had S$110K to keep in a bank account (some day!), you would recommend S$50K in DBS Multiplier, and S$60K in BOC SmartSaver. And the rest, i.e. what about amounts above S$110K?

The base interest for boc smartsaver is tiered, highest base interest for $50k and above. Bonus interest for up to $60k. So $50k to $60k yield highest interest %.

If have more than $110k, need to see which combination of accounts+requirements you can fulfil yield the highest interest+card rebate.

Hi, just wondering if I am missing out on something. This BOC Smart saver account seems too good to be true leh. If I credit salary (>$6000), monthly spend $500 and pay 3 bills, I will get around 2.35% interest? Compared to DBS multiplier 1.9% and OCBC 360 @ 1.85%??

Can someone enlighten me please 😅

2.75% actually (need to include base 0.4%). Yes it is good, used to be even easier to reach the max 3.55%

2.75%. You missed out the 0.4% base interest. It is true. Have it for a while.

Agree. Add on the Family card if can spend $700 even better. Only grouse is they stop full waiver of card annual fee wef Jul 18.
Cancel the card and reapply? In the meantime just clock $500 from debit card.
Will this work?

3rd up. I have been joined BOC smart saver since Oct 2015. That time overall interest is around 3.35% I believe. Even better than OCBC 360
