I believe it is artificial spend. Use debit card to pay your CC. This trick is there since ancient ages (old bonussaver of $30). Extra $$ inside CC can then withdrawn without any spend through other means.

But $10 per mth is a bit of hassle, and I rather use the spare $10k to pay off my housing loan. Because the $10K will stuck for a few days also.

use the card for any spending u will get 0.1% cash rebate.

Like what some pro have mentioned, it is not really a bonus interest. Just the debit card mechanics. Similar to what DBS will be giving you for the no withdrawal promotion. Is just that I treat it as bonus earn.

I dont really treat all as interests since you have to do actions to unlock the higher rebates from banks. I treat all of the actions i do as unlock higher cash rebates.

Jus like i have to spend $10k on the debit card to get $10

Ur method is good but like what u say a hassle and have 0 benefits.

Mine I think much better. I do not pay anything upfront to my credit card.
Yet I can still earn interest from the money from credit card

I.e. I am able to use the money in credit card to earn interest from saving account at the same time earning the $10

Theoretically I earn much more than $10

So u won't think it as a hassle if you know the way like me.

I remember a lot of ppl use this method for the 2% cashback from SC XtraSaver 5 years ago. People also use this method to pay for legitimate POEMS stocks or use CC to pay for funds in dollardex.

Can earn up to $30 for Xtrasaver but now is only $10. You might as well buy REITS that leverage on this free temporary money through this loop.
