BOC is a very old school bank. Only physical in person.

U can open joint but the person as the primary holder must not have BOC account.

Yes, has to fulfil the conditions. I.e. your credit card spent is $1.5k each, salary $6k each and 3 bill payments each

Thanks! So when applying as joint account, there will be indication who is the main account holder?

Most banks will require both account holders to be present at the branch to open joint accounts. I dun know of any bank which does not have that requirement.

I also have joint account, as secondary holder. U cannot be primary account holder for joint accounts if u already have your own acct.

may I now what is the credit card you all choose for SmartSaver? Like no good option for someone who doesn't drive. My biggest bills are utilities, insurance and $100 of online shopping every 2 months.

Also, is it that still cannot add BOC card to Apple Pay? I was using it for a few years untl last year when I switched to UOB ONE... now switching back because UOB cut interest

I always have this problem of receiving no/expired sms for sign in to online banking. Getting more and more noticeably often. Is it just me or is there something I can do to make it better? Wanted to use app but need token to link it and mine is out of battery.

Hi BOC SmartSaver community, I am considering migrating from ocbc 360. In this age of banks reducing interest, do you see BOC doing the same & how was their track record in the past with regards to interest change? Say worst case scenario I open account and soon after the interest drop what is my minimum sum & period I need to have on deposit in order to avoid any fees? Thanks for your advice.

haha...i think only BOC can tell u. From my perspective, chances are likely, since no competition near their rates at the moment.

I think since inception till now, only amended slightly once.

think all banks are 6 months, min. i think 1.5k

Best is when u open the account, ask the bank
