What are the tests that you personally do/require the seller to do before purchasing a second hand gpu? Found a few tips online but want to know what's done in an SG context.

I'm using a old 1080 currently, loaned from friend. Looking to replace it with another GPU, what's the best for buck 2nd hand GPU nowadays? I seldom game, but looking to play BF6 on 1440p. Is 3080 a reasonable deal now?

Second hand 3080 can get for around $400 on carousell.. but if you're not familiar with testing GPU etc, don't recommend at all. Sometimes can get faulty parts and very troublesome for the average user.

I recommend just getting a brand new 9060XT 16GB for 525 or 5060ti for 615, or the 5070 for 759 on thetechyard. Depending on your budget. IMO 5070 is the most value.

For reference, 3080 is around 20+% better than the 9060XT, and 15% than the 5060ti according to techpowerrup.

Thanks, decided to go with 9060XT 16gb. There's sale on lazada, got it around 460.

Budget?
Either RTX 2080 or RTX 3070/3080.
But also depend on your CPU just hope is not Intel 6/7th gen.
