I only relearned swimming in my late 30s to early 40s (last 4 to 5 yrs). drank a lot of water trying to get back my freestyle breathing technique.

my butterfly is like hippo swimming - not smooth at all

backstroke I still drink a lot of water cos never practice much

but freestyle and breaststroke is pretty ok now.

Veri zhai in swimming after learning when young.

During NS BMT swimming test, I realized that I onli remembered the stroke but no form so swim veri slow.

Anyone try to relearn swimming when adult? Is it popular or laughing stock if go learn swimming again?

actually floating is the most important part of learning swimming.

the rest is just how you move your arms and legs LOL, once you have the confidence to float.

Can u float 25m?if yes, can be considered as swimming loosely🀣🀣🀣

50 metre sprint leh...

for most of us we do for cardio, 1,000 metres 25 mins, cannot breathe like this or have such high stroke rate la...
To sustain your stamina, don't be too obssessed with the speed and high stroke rate. Start at a slower, more leisure stroke rate to improve and synchronise all the movements between your head rotation for breathing, arms for the catch and propulsion and legs. Also take note on the body position and work on increasing your lung capacity + stamina for the next stage.

Once you have those in place, then gradually increase the stroke rate and swmming distance in correspondence with your stamina.

Did you go for class to speed up the process?

Or just relearn via past experience & online info?

ya, when in bmt
i am actually surprised by the number of non swimmers
its really alot
those that self taught couldn't make pass a length...
some could

and those that were taught swimming well were little.
in my platoon only 6 including me out of 42.

I thought now most schools force their students to learn swimming. Last time my sec school force those who can’t swim to attend nassa bronze
