well, I wouldn’t consider raising a family here because kids education and cost of living is pricier here compared to your usual neighbourhood estate amenities. It’s just me. Not representing everyone here.

I go for regular morning walks there along Singapore river pre-covid. It is very serene in the morning when almost all shops are closed.

Yeah, there’s a cycling route that can start from esplanade, Boat Quay, Clarke quay all the way to the west to Jurong lake gardens. it’s still quiet and serene now from the recent cycling trips I’ve done there.
