The Canon brown leather pouch is good as you do not need to buy a new pouch.

to me it is excellent if compared with my S90's time when canon was only giving away a cheapo bulky non-leather casing.

standard box doesn't come with card. the 8gb card (n the casing) was a gift frm canon.

The Camare case and 8G SD card is from Canon, need to redeem at keppel Bay Tower, offers valid till april if i'm not wrong... Think they only left one piece, when i bought mine they say they left 2 piece

yes, plus the ability to zoom in/out during video recording is AWESOME!!!
for future gen, i wan thinner, lighter, battery to last longer n wifi.

Hi all,

I have just gotten my s100 but i realized that after using a while, the casing over the battery starts to warm up.

The battery itself is not heated up but the plastic cover over the battery( with the metal attachment ) feels warm.

May I know is this normal or it my s100 defective?

S100 Battery

so far i hv tried below scenario on 2 different occasions n battery still ok. battery was fully charged b4 used on both occasions.
a) took 300 photo in 1 morning trip.
b) took 100 photo n 10 mins video in a 2-hours disney on ice show.
i guess hv to wait for a tour to try anything heavier load than this.

unlike hp, this model doesn't hv a good % indication on battery life. it has only 4 levels of indications: full, partially used, low/warning, flat.
in my case, it's "partially used".

with the s100 aperture range from f2 to f8, does it make alot of difference from the 2 extremes?
noob here who just into photography..hehe
