Hi all,

Any good promotion now to use in line with cardup for insurance payment?

Thank you

Use uob prvi mastercard/visa. "New User" get 2.4miles/$ (for up to $40k), and "existing user" get 1.6miles/$, instead of the usual 1.4miles/$

"New Users" are CardUp users with no transactions on UOB PRVI Miles Card before 1 Nov 2017.

"Existing Users" are CardUp users with prior transactions on UOB PRVI Miles Card before 1 Nov 2017.

Yup..unless got cards out there better.

For miles..I still find it ridiculous to pay 2.6% for it. Lol

Maybank plat visa can..but ur net earning is 0.4%

For 300 or 1000 spent

i also feel hard to justify paying 2.6% more..
what do you find it worth it to use it for?

Only when I need to hit the min. Balance of card spent...

For e.g. to activate the rebates tier and to hit the family card spent requirement for my bank balance

Well if the difference my cc can handle why not. Thing is at this point, there is no good cc to absorb it esp for existing members of carduo

I use it to hit the higher tier rebate for my UOB One card, i.e. hit $2000 spend per month for 5% rebate.

Still have net 2.4% gain from using CardUp despite the 2.6% fees

BOC still good for cardup right? Just that the online rebate is capped at $30, which is $600 worth of transactions.

ok, so basically, what you guys are saying is unless the CC rebate is > 2.6%.. then is worth...

so if i am using BOC FF cc.. what can i use cardup for? i dont pay rent.

from their website, it seems to be more like a pro-miles card, not so much a pro- B user

let me try to think this thru... correct me if i am wrong..

use BOC to pay online telco bill
normal main card - 1%
normal supp card - 1% + 2%

cardup - 5% - 2.6% = 2.4?
card up with supp card - 5% + 2 % - 2.6% = 4.4%

are the aabove scenario correct? assume the min spend of $500 is achieved

Not correct. Should be
use BOC to pay online telco bill to starhub/m1/singtel
normal main card - 1%
normal supp card - 1%

cardup with main card: 5% - 2.6% = 2.4%
cardup with supp card: 5% - 2.6% = 2.4%

If spend min $200 monthly on "others" (those that earn 0.5%) on supp card then get additional 2% (capped at $20 monthly) on these "others". There is only 0.5%+2%, no such thing as 1%/5%/7% + 2%

Nope. Use CardUp to pay for your rental or Income tax and must use a credit card with maximum “Online” category rebates to make it worthwhile.

BOC family card gives 5% rebate for “Online” category (including CardUp) till max of $30 rebates per statement month (max of $600 used for “Online” category). Effective rebate will be 2.4% (minus of CardUp fee of 2.6%)

Other alternative will be UOB One card: rebate of 5% if you spend $2000 per statement month for 3 consecutive months. Effective rebate also 2.4%

Don't use BOC main or supp card for Telcos: the 3 major telcos are capped at 1% rebate

I'm using DBS Live Fresh or UOB One (depending on which one hasn't hit monthly quota/rebates) to get 5% rebates with my M1 bill online via the M1 app.

why dun u use BOC cc, it gives bonus interest on the smart saver ard $40... and still got 1% rebate

whereas Livefresh only gives $35 for min $700 spending online...

If no need telco to meet the $1500 card spend for 1.6% interest on smartsaver then should use other cards with higher rebate for telco.
