Ah ok. Thanks! Understood. Rent is about 650/mth. So I will still earn even if I solely use the BOC card for cardup transactions with 5% rebate on 600.

I thought I would be able to use cardup to hit 600/mth on OCBC credit cards to get additional 0.3% interest on 360 account. But not worth with the 2.6% service fee.

If you're looking at combination of Savings Account with Credit Card spend/CardUp for rebates, you should consider either:

1. BOC Smart Saver + BOC Family Credit card:
-If you satisfy the BOC Smart Saver requirements, the interest can be max 3.55% up to first $60,000

2. UOB One account + UOB One Credit card:
-You can get max 2.43% interest for the first $50,000

If possible, you can get both accounts since UOB One account doesn't use Salary credit as an absolute requirement to hit the higher bonus interest.

Both credit cards give 5% rebates for CardUp with some conditions:
- BOC Family CC: Maximum of $600 per statement month for CardUp or any Online transactions
- UOB One CC: Need to hit $2000 spend per statement month to get the 5% rebates, if less than $2000, rebate is 3.33%

I second the recommendation to move to BOC Cardup and BOC SmartSaver and to abandon OCBC.

The only thing good for OCBC now is the Titanium Rewards card for 4mpd on mobile payments.

That's true, but the Maybank credit card rebates will lose to the UOB One credit card if you are able to meet the $2000/month spend though.

1. Maybank Saveup Account + Maybank Platinum Visa Credit Card
- You can hit max 3.0% interest for the first $60,000
- CC rebates similar to UOB One if CC spend is $1,000/mth (3.33% rebates per month: capped at $33.33 per month)
- CC rebates lower than UOB One if CC spend is $2000/mth (5% rebates per month: capped at $100 per month)

Personally I'm using BOC Smart Saver + UOB One combination

how has it been so far for those moving from OCBC to BOC? first thing i would be concerned of is the atm coverage. i dont see any boc atms around at all

an option would be to move my salary crediting + giro 3 bills to BOC, but to set a monthly transfer to OCBC/DBS for expenses and easy atm withdrawal?

If you intend to get the BOC Family Credit Card and Smart Saver, I would suggest applying for the Credit Card first before the Smart Saver account. BOC Family credit card takes at least 6 weeks for the card to be approved (mine took 7+ weeks).

I kept my UOB One account for easy ATM access but ATM5 ATMs are not that rare to find though.

Got atm5...like what T has mentioned. I would suggest keeping posb for liquidity..smart saver should be used as savings.

Anyone know if I can still use SCB SingPost card for Cardup? The 7% rebate has been extended for another month.

Are u existing Singpost card holder that received letter and/or sms that inform u about the change of benefit from certain date? If yes, then u can get 7% for cardup transaction for transaction posted before the effective change date.

For new spree card holder, the benefit already only 2% for online from the beginning.
