For payment to “education”, can cardup be used to pay private tutors (eg private tuition teacher, swimming coach, etc)? I noticed they require us to put school name and submission of invoices to schedule the payment. However, such private teachers have neither!!

cardup got reply anything or kept quiet?

what u can do now is file chargeback and pay your insurance via other means to prevent your insurance not covering you due to non-payment

Cardup did provide a screenshot of bank transaction show Aia account number and my policy number which looks like legitimate proof of payment but aia insist no payment records. Cardup also follow up several times with aia but no progress

What do you mean by file charge back? Get cardup to pay me back?

within CU, the Payment charged date is usually set as 7 calendar days before your Due Date.

even if CU says charged on 30 Apr, but your CC may only post it in May.

Ultimately still depends on how fast your CC post the txn

cardup ocbc

Hi all

Saw a bit of discussion going on about Cardup and the different card rebates
Just wanted to share that CardUp transactions are not eligible for the 3% online rebate for OCBC 365 Card and 6% online rebate on Frank Credit Card.

^Sh

How about for OCBC titanium? is it consider x10 since online transaction?

Yes. Most transactions can be set up as a monthly charge on CardUp. I used to be able to do it for income tax but think they have changed their system and Income tax payments have to be scheduled as a one time transaction instead.

hi, still new to cardup and using it to pay for income tax...since can't schedule as monthly charge so have to manually pay via cardup before GIRO deduction is done?

have some other questions too..hope someone can help :s22:
- anyone tried paying for car loan before? currently on giro plan, so is it the same way....I pay through cardup before the GIRO deduction?
- for personal insurance plans...they are all under GIRO too. is it the same method? pay before GIRO due dates?

Do send me referral code too :) appreciate any help in adv THanks!

Correct, you shld schedule CU payments before Giro deduction date.

You can schedule monthly payment in advance, by selecting the relevant Payment Date. 1 schedule for each monthly payment.

Do take note that there is usually a cut-off date for Giro, after which your CU pre-payment may not be captured by the Billing Org ie there will be double payment that month

eg) for income tax, you need to pay 5 working day before month end, so that IRAS capture the pre-payment and can adjust the giro amount on 6th of next month ...

no concern using someone else's account or CC to pay your income tax

Code sent ... cheers

for IRAS, best is to schedule payment right after the Giro deduct date (dont leave it til month end)

for car & insurer, you need to ask them for the cut-off ... bcos each billing org will be different (eg Starhub is 2 weeks before statement date :().

I have removed giro for car & insurance payments. More flexible that way.

oic thank u so much!

sounds easier to remove giro for car loan payment. shall do that too.

however for insurance, i thought the payment amount is different for annual one time payment versus the monthly payments? if u remove giro...does it mean the insurer assumes that you are paying the annual one time payment? but u just proceed to process cardup payment to them according to your billing cycle?

My insurance is all along on annual basis. I make payment when needed, but not monthly.

With CU, may not be economical with frequent small payments vs larger sum with promo codes.

Is your insurer already in CU's dropdown selection list ?

If it's a new insurer, CU may have issue with advance payment, paying someone's insurance etc.
