Insurer? Yes. Cardup, likely can

Cardup don't care.

Insurance company, you have to check with them. Most probably no. Insurance premium are priced differently according to how often you want to pay. Yearly is the cheapest. You can only split up the payment within the period where they bill you and the due date. You cannot just make payments as and when you like outside that period.

Thanks for your replies!

Can others confirm?

If my insurance payment mode is Yearly and it costs $3000 and the due date is August, say.

Can I schedule multiple payments via Cardup to pay that policy? Say I schedule early in MAY, JUN, JULY of $1000 each? Will Cardup Accept this? Will the insurance company accept this?

Thanks a tonne!

If its a new insurer & you r using a promo code, CardUp may give you a hard time on scheduling advance payment, paying someone else's policy, policy holder not card holder, compliance issue etc etc

if insurer already on the list, shld not be a problem ... however, if it is payment to same policy, best to schedule the next payment after last payment has been processed (just a suggestion).

so far, only Pru make some noise about advance payment but they still have to process it. GE and AIA all good.

correct ... only a problem if its a new insurer payee where CU requires you to upload the premium notice ... and very likely to make it difficult to utilize promo code in such instances

They let u schedule the payment, then on day payment is to be charged, they will tell you Rejected, so you have to scramble to make payment and promo code is no longer valid

Has anyone experience cardup not received by recipients. I had 2 payments, 1 to aia and 1 to aviva, both claimed not received.

I got cardup to provide proof of payment, aia still insist not received. No progress after Repeated emails to Aia and cardup customer service, both maintain their stance.

How to proved who is wrong and get my money back?

cardup got reply anything or kept quiet?

what u can do now is file chargeback and pay your insurance via other means to prevent your insurance not covering you due to non-payment

Lol, my last was AIA claiming to not receive 2 payments. Cardup helped to settle it with AIA.

it's not troublesome at all. it's easy to schedule payments

however, if for the same payee & same policy, would suggest you schedule next payment after current payment is made ... dont give any room for it to be rejected

So I can still use my CC to pay monthly automatically? So it’s “GIRO” for my CC basically?

Yes. Most transactions can be set up as a monthly charge on CardUp. I used to be able to do it for income tax but think they have changed their system and Income tax payments have to be scheduled as a one time transaction instead.
